**About This Role:**
The Director of Strategy plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and driving operational excellence for Carrier Corporation’s North America Residential Solutions (NARS) business. This leadership role focuses on developing and executing initiatives to optimize performance, enable growth, and improve efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. This position is available in our Indiana and Florida offices.
**Job Description:**
+ Strategic Planning and Development: Lead the formulation and implementation of strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives. Conduct market analysis, competitor assessments, and industry trend evaluations to identify growth opportunities. Collaborate with senior leadership to define long-term strategies and establish tactical plans to achieve targets.
+ Performance Evaluation and Optimization: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of strategic initiatives. Continuously monitor and evaluate business performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Develop and refine processes to optimize efficiency and drive cost-effectiveness.
+ Cross-Functional Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity of purpose and alignment with organizational goals. Act as a liaison between different departments, fostering communication and cooperation to achieve common objectives. Mentor and develop team members, cultivating a high-performing, collaborative work environment.
+ Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including executives and key customers, to communicate strategic priorities and progress. Prepare presentations, reports, and updates to senior management, key customers, internal townhalls, executive leadership team, and Carrier board as needed.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic planning, pricing, business development, and/or product marketing or management within an equipment company or HVAC industry
+ 5+ years of leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change
+ 5+ years of analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations
+ 5+ years of analyzing and understanding an equipment or HVAC industry, market dynamics, and trends
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
+ 5+ years work experience within the HVAC industry.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization.
+ Strong influencing skills and ability to build trust quickly.
+ 3+ years working in Carrier or a highly matrixed organization.
+ Project Management Certification (PMP).
+ Continuous Improvement/Carrier Excellence trained
