Our brands span multiple categories, including marine electronics, power systems, and general accessories—and include globally recognized brands like Lowrance, Simrad, Mastervolt, RELiON, and Attwood. The Director of Navico Group Strategy will play a vital role in assisting Navico Group to transform to better meet the changing needs of demanding customers, while delivering profitable growth and innovation through a short and long-term vision. The Director of Strategy will possess a strong strategic mindset, toolkit and experience base, and will possess strong executive presence to have credibility with all levels of management and staff. This position will report to the EVP, Division President of Navico Group, who is also Brunswick’s CTO.Essential Functions:This role has primary responsibility to shape the strategies and plans for long-term vision, growth and profitability improvement for Navico Group, across the portfolio, products, technologies, customers, channel, geographies, etc. This role will identify and analyze strategic alternatives, prioritize options, make fact-based recommendations and execute projects, considering all aspects of the Navico Group portfolio and points of intersection with the broader enterprise.Work closely with all regional presidents, category and functional leaders on strategic planning, portfolio and technology optimization, financial and business analysis, and business development activities, and execution plans where neededLead annual strategic planning process for Navico GroupLead/participate in cross-divisional projects and initiatives with other Brunswick divisions, enterprise organizations and senior leadership (including CEO) on technology, customer service, marketing, etc.Identify and develop growth opportunities through organic and inorganic initiatives, including M&A, joint ventures, supporting deal negotiations and coordinating due diligence activitiesConduct ongoing market analysis and competitor assessments, with an externally-focused orientation with regard to awareness and insightful analysis of global, economic, market and competitive activities, trends and developmentsProvide Navico Group leadership team with recommendations to accomplish program objectives and execute strategic initiatives based on thorough research and analysisParticipate in special projects across multiple functional areas including but not limited to: Strategic Marketing, business plan development, Human Resources, Finance, Corporate and initial market assessments for new product conceptsInsertDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way. Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in related technical field, MBA preferred10+ years of progressive work experience in relevant disciplines and functions, include working across business groups within multi-national organizationsStrong strategic mindset, toolkit and capabilities; Thought leadership and best practice knowledge, together with solid evidence of results orientationRigorous analytical capabilities, ability to translate large data into concise insights, decision-making expertiseTransformational mindset, with a track record of successfully delivering change and growth initiativesEmphasis on collaboration and influencing capabilities, to drive alignment and action with peers and colleagues, including boat group division presidents and functional leaders.Experience working with senior levels of management in a large public organization, including excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage complexity, considering multiple brands/locations/divisions/geographiesBusiness and financial acumen in all aspects of P&L drivers and management, with cross-functional knowledge and prior experience in multiple disciplinesExcellent time management, with a proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Reinforces values-based culture that prioritized ethics, respect, openness and trust; Embraces the contributions of a diverse and inclusive workforce.Working Conditions:This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 3 days a week onsiteAbility to travel 25% of the timeThe anticipated pay range for this position is $148,300 – $250,300 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for <an annual discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program>. This position is also eligible for an award target as part of Brunswick’s long-term incentive program.At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
