Job Title Director of Student Success Initiatives Posting Number F006484 Position Status Full Time Grant Funded No Category APT Class Code 13 Starting Pay $78,664 Special Note Commensurate with education and experience Location District Department DT Student Affairs Job Summary Reporting to the District Director of Student Affairs, the Director of Student Success Initiatives is responsible for managing high level projects to support the college’s strategic goals. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Essential Performance Requirements* Crafts clear and concise content, such as Executive Reports, Board Memos, and Grant Summaries, for different audiences, including federal agencies Drafts and negotiates terms, expectations, and responsibilities of agreements, such as MOUs, to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with institutional goals Enhance partnerships and strengthen community engagement efforts Manages the grants process, including proposal preparation, narrative writing, and data analysis for outcomes reporting; researches and monitors application processes to ensure compliance with grant requirements, deadlines, and reporting structures Establishes best practices and reviews and enforces the integration of policies and procedures Manages multiple large-scale projects through initiation, planning, implementation and evaluation within established timelines and budget allocations and develops and implements assessment tools to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to grant performance, project outcomes, and institutional impact Coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure project completion and facilitates effective communication Ensures financial efficiency and accountability of grant budgets in accordance with financial policies and analyzes financial data to make informed decisions that maximize the impact of available resources


Service Excellence Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision Works under the general supervision of the District Director of Student Affairs

Required Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree Three (3) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements Two (2) years’ experience supervising (e.g., managing, evaluating the performance of others) Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree At least one (1) year’s working experience in strategic planning and implementation At least one (1) year’s working experience developing student resources Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of Student Affairs or Student Development activities such as advising, counseling, career services, student activities, and mentoring Knowledge of the different types of higher education agreements such as academic partnerships, community engagement, and their specific requirements Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication Skilled using computerized applications and enterprise systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, including student affairs, academic affairs, and enrollment services Ability to think critically and identify potential issues to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations Ability to delegate work appropriately to staff to meet College and campus deliverables Ability to maintain a high level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality and discretion with sensitive and confidential information Ability to adaptively perform and prioritize multiple tasks and projects seamlessly, ensuring accurate and timely completion, while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
