Biddeford Schools are seeking a Director of Summer Programming Position Overview
Full-time, seasonal position overseeing comprehensive K-4 summer programming operations, including academic enrichment, recreation, and support services.
Key Responsibilities
+ Manage program registration and enrollment processes
+ Coordinate transportation logistics
+ Collaborate with food service operations and meal distribution
+ Maintain detailed program data and prepare grant compliance reports
+ Serve as primary liaison with families, staff, and community partners
+ Develop and implement communication strategies across all programs
+ Hire, monitor and evaluate staff
+ Monitor program budgets and resource allocation
Required Qualifications
+ Master’'s degree in education, administration, or related field
+ Administration certification preferred
+ 3+ years program management experience
+ Strong data management and reporting skills
+ Experience with grant compliance and reporting
+ Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in K-12 education setting
+ Knowledge of federal and state summer program regulations
+ Proficiency in student information systems
+ Grant writing experience
Schedule
+ May through August, with some planning hours required in spring
+ Flexibility of hours during program development in the spring
+ On-site participation during the operations of summer programs with a required 30 minutes before and after
