Director of Supply Chain

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead the supply chain for our eBOS manufacturing business. This strategic role will focus on optimizing supply chain processes, ensuring product availability, and managing the end-to-end flow of materials and inventory within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of supply chain management in the manufacturing industry, particularly in electronic equipment manufacturing. This candidate must have a proven track record in driving efficiency and cost reductions.

Key Responsibilities:

 Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership:

Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the entire supply chain process, from procurement of raw materials to distribution of finished goods.  Lead and manage the supply chain team, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and production planning.  Collaborate with senior management to align supply chain strategies with the company’s goals and objectives.

Supplier & Vendor Management:

 Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, ensuring reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness in the procurement of materials, components, and finished goods. Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers.

Inventory & Logistics Management:

 Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing overstocking and stockouts.  Lead the logistics function to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of materials and products, both inbound and outbound.  Implement advanced inventory control techniques, lean inventory, and demand forecasting.


Operations Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

 Analyze and improve supply chain processes to increase operational efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve quality. Implement and manage KPIs to monitor the performance of the supply chain and identify areas for improvement.  Ensure the implementation of industry best practices in supply chain management.

 

Risk Management & Compliance:

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to material shortages, transportation delays, and regulatory compliance. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and environmental requirements related to supply chain operations.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination:

Collaborate with R&D, production, sales, and finance teams to forecast demand and align supply chain strategies with production schedules and customer requirements. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on supply chain performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications:

Education:

 Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.  Master’s degree (MBA or related) or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) preferred.

Experience:

 Minimum 10+ years of experience in supply chain management within the manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.  Experience in supply chain management for electronic or battery-operated systems manufacturing is highly desirable.


Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and drive results.  Extensive knowledge of supply chain technologies and systems (ERP, MRP, TMS, etc.).  Expertise in procurement, logistics, inventory control, and production planning.  Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.  Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, reduce costs, and improve profitability.  In-depth understanding of international supply chains, customs regulations, and global sourcing.

Benefits and Pay:

Competitive salary range of $190,000 - $200,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Generous benefits package including paid holidays, PTO, sick leave as per state regulations, medical/dental/vision insurance, FSA/HSA, disability coverages, and a 401K plan with matching contributions.
