EquipmentShare is Hiring a Director of Supply Chain - Demand & Supply Planning (Purchasing - Parts and Supplies) EquipmentShare is searching for a Director of Supply Chain - Demand & Supply Planning (Purchasing - Parts and Supplies) for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow. Salary range: $146k-$170k. Factors including past experience and location may affect final compensation rate. Job Summary: The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for the leadership, vision, strategy, goals, and operating results of the Supply Chain team. It will have direct responsibility for operations planning, purchasing, and the related KPI’s. This role will establish cost effective supply chain solutions that allow the Company to achieve preferred supplier status with all branches and strategic suppliers. Interfaces with stakeholders and collaborates with a variety of other functional areas to deliver company results that achieve business goals and objectives Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes. Responsible for building and leading the Supply Chain Team – supporting the Distribution Center as well as all parts and supply planning. Duties/Responsibilities + Leads the enterprise strategy for the Sales and Operations Planning, Parts Purchasing, + Materials Management and partner with supplier Management departments. + Ensure all Supply Chain processes are efficient and maintain cost performance measures. + Develop departmental standards that support lean principles and lead / implement processes. + Determine best practices across the Supply Chain to identify new and/or unique programs to differentiate service to the branches to drive customer satisfaction. + Responsible for internal communications and presentations related to KPI’s, program updates and on-going program information. + Forecasts and recommends Supply Chain Procurement budget for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances, as necessary. + Lead cross functional projects to develop a best-in-class supply chain operation. Provide leadership to project teams including external customer and vendor team members. + Manage and interact cross functionally to ensure that all relevant requirements of delivery, cost and quality are met. + Partner with a cross functional team to manage/utilize the logistics supplier network to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant shipment of commercial and development products. + Partner with other Company leaders to develop strategies that align supply chain activities with business objectives. + Ensure adequate inventory of products to meet customer demand (internal & external) while avoiding overstocking or shortages. + Manage inventory levels by purchasing materials needed to keep equipment in service across all branch operations as well as supply ECOM channels.. + Collaborate with the Executive and Senior leadership team to ensure companywide initiatives and business objectives are met. + Work with cross functional teams to develop strategic relationships with suppliers and stakeholders internally and externally. + Owns and develops a Supply Chain Strategy that maximizes value. + Provides leadership to Microsoft Dynamics 365 operations system development and oversees integration across desired areas of business to maximize return on technology investment. + Point person for the development of Materials management development of the 365 tool across procurement. + Provides leadership and expertise regarding project execution including business planning, requirements, gathering, execution and setting expectations throughout the project lifecycle. + Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching and developmental goals. + Ensures all objectives for all departmental personnel are established and actively mentors and develops employees to obtain greater capabilities and assume greater responsibilities. + Shares knowledge across organizational boundaries and promotes continuous process improvement. + Ensures department activities are compliant with all Company processes and requirements, and local, state, and federal laws and regulatory requirements. + Serves as a role model and champion of Company values and culture. + Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: + Highly skilled project management and collaborative alignment capabilities. + Ability to draw insights from data and develop collaborative solutions to supply chain challenges. + Strong coaching, mentoring and overall employee development skills. + Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team. + Ability to build effective working relationships, persuade, and influence others. + Results driven, utilize knowledge to meet or exceed KPIs and goals. + Proven time management skills and quickly adapts to a changing business environment. + Able to prioritize responsibilities with the appropriate level of urgency, able to listen and can use this information to solve problems, anticipate issues and make correct decisions based on a variety of situations. + Superior communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal skills; able to listen effectively to solve problems, anticipate issues and make effective decisions. + Demonstrates strong analytical, mathematical, and complex problem-solving skills + Ability to manage and thrive in ambiguity with a strong sense of curiosity and self-motivation. Education and Experience: + Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Management, or similar discipline or equivalent experience + At least 10 years progressive experience in Supply Chain management + Minimum 5 years of experience leading a team of direct reports + Extensive experience in ERP; MS office applications ASCM/APICS or similar certification preferred + Lean Six Sigma or Process Improvement experience/knowledge is a plus Physical Requirements: + Ability to travel as required. + Ability to work outside of core business hours as required. + Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer. + Ability to move about the facility on a regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking. + Visual and hearing acuity.
