Role and Responsibilities

The Director of Omni Channel Supply Chain will lead the development and implementation of Samsung Supply Chain Innovation and Operational Execution in collaboration with Key National Retailers. This role will be measured by the project management and execution of Key Supply Chain and Customer Initiatives with measurable benefits and metrics with weekly and monthly deadlines.  This position regularly works with Senior Leadership across multiple Samsung Functional areas including Sales, Operations, and Logistics and will provide Executive level briefing and reports.  They will also lead project discussions with Senior Leadership at external Customers and Partners including Logistics providers and vendors.

Role & Responsibilities

Secure cross functional resources for large scale improvement programs

Work with cross functional teams and provide strategic supply chain direction to SEA Leadership

Perform project and concept sales pitches to the customer on behalf of customer account teams

Perform As-Is analyses, Gap analyses, To-Be process design, benchmarking, and similar re-engineering analysis

Analyze P&L impact of strategic customer Initiatives, presenting findings to the CFO and CEO

Innovate internal company processes via systems development and integration to support Initiatives

Guide multiple teams to solve complex internal and customer supply chain problems

Define and Execute Supply Chain Projects and Initiatives on behalf of the Supply Chain Team

Lead and drive collaboration with Key National Retailers and Partners to drive Strategic Partnership and Innovation based on Annual and Monthly Operational Objectives

Lead Project discussions and updates for Senior Leadership at Samsung and with National Retailers

Analyze and track key metrics and benefits of Initiatives and provide guidance across Internal and External Teams

Minimum Qualifications

12-15 years’ experience in fields such as Strategy, Logistics, Supply Chain Innovation

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a plus

Experience in leading indirect cross functional resources in a matrix organization

Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with all levels of the organization including weekly Executive level engagement across multiple functions and teams

Experience leveraging market and industry insights to develop a vison and execution strategy

Strong project management, analytical and interpersonal skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

Project Management experience critical with strong background in Logistics

Fortune 500 or Global experience in a Hardware Company (e.g. Consumer Electronics, not software or services)

Will be based in Georgia or North Carolina to support Home Appliance National retailers

Strong communications skills (power point, business case justification, P&L Analysis) to drive collaboration with Strategic Customers and Partners

Some travel is required (~20%)
