Our client, a large, private manufacturing company is looking to hire a Director of International Tax. \r\n
This is a fast-growing company (In Woodbridge) and they are specifically looking for candidates that have experience with tax planning.\r\n
The duties and responsibilities of the Director of Tax are as follows:\r\nAnalyze and model the tax implications of foreign affiliate transactions, including: Draft and review steps plans; \r\nAnalyze foreign affiliate financial statements to assess the tax implications of proposed transactions; \r\nReview legal agreements; and \r\nCommunicate tax considerations to global stakeholders. \r\n\r\n\r\nCoordinate internal and external teams of professionals to ensure timely and accurate implementation of transactions. \r\nWork with accounting and compliance teams to ensure transactions are accurately documented and reported.\r\nProvide guidance and direction to Treasury related to the financing structures and cash movements, optimizing our ETR and achieve efficient movement of cash.\r\nDraft funds flow memos setting out the appropriate characterization of cash movements for day-to-day cash movements and larger transactions. \r\nResearch and evaluate repatriation strategies including responsibility for Surplus and ACB calculations.\r\nAssist with global M&A and post-acquisition integration activities including tax due diligence, structuring and review of agreements.\r\nManage Global Mobility tax compliance with the help of external consultants.\r\nCollaborate with external consultants and internal business partners to leverage opportunities for government grants, funding, tax credits and other incentive programs, globally. \r\nResponsible for identifying and communicating tax risks.\r\n\r\n
