Job Summary
The Director Technology UR is accountable for leading United Rotorcraft’s (UR) technology strategy and operations, spanning both information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT). This role ensures secure, reliable, and scalable technology services to enable business performance, compliance readiness, and future growth. Responsibilities include oversight of infrastructure, ERP and business systems, OT enablement, cybersecurity posture, vendor management, and integration with Corporate IT. The Director partners closely with UR Compliance, Operations, and other functions to ensure technology systems support DFARS/NIST/CMMC requirements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
Provide leadership for UR’s technology environment (IT and OT), including systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, and business applicationsOversee ERP roadmap and support business process automation and integration projectsDrive operational reliability and security of UR networks, systems, and plant-floor (OT) technologyPartner with Corporate IT to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, governance, and security requirementsSupport DFARS/NIST/CMMC readiness by ensuring UR technology systems and practices align with compliance requirements in collaboration with internal stakeholdersDevelop technological roadmaps to support UR’s business strategy, productivity, and customer experience (e.g., digital tools, Tech Pub website)Lead vendor engagement, contract negotiation, and performance management to ensure value deliveryEstablish and monitor KPIs, service levels, and technology performance dashboardsBuild and manage annual technology budgets; track and report on cost, risk, and project performanceSponsor and coach continuous improvement initiatives in technology systems and processes, working with the internal stakeholder and external partnersOther duties as assignedAdditional Job Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of UR Technology including infrastructure, services, cybersecurity, and related support functions, along with the people who deliver and support these areas, either directly or indirectly. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. For exempt managers: managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Engineering, or related field and ten (10) or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMaster’s degree preferred10+ years of progressive experience in technology management, including IT infrastructure, OT systems, and business applicationsExperience working in regulated environments (defense/aerospace preferred), including DFARS/NIST/CMMC compliance supportProven success leading ERP upgrades, migrations, and system integration projectsDemonstrated ability to partner with corporate IT while addressing business-unit needsSkills
Cybersecurity Leadership & Compliance Alignment: Knowledge of CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, DFARS, and ability to ensure UR technology systems support compliance requirements in collaboration with compliance and other functional leadersERP Strategy & Systems Thinking: Experience leading ERP evaluation, selection, and implementation, with the ability to assess business requirements, minimize workarounds, and align technology to long-term business needsBusiness Intelligence & Analytics: Skilled in designing and executing BI/analytics strategies, leveraging tools like Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent, to provide actionable insights for leadershipAutomation & AI Application: Ability to identify opportunities for workflow automation, AI/ML integration, and software efficiencies that improve productivity and reduce riskIT & Operational Technology Infrastructure & Architecture: Strong background in IT networking, cabling, security, cloud, and enterprise architecture, plus OT systems, including planning for scalability, integration, and relocation scenariosBusiness & Financial Acumen: Ability to develop and present business cases, build budgets, and connect technology investments to business outcomesCross-Functional Collaboration & Influence: Demonstrated ability to work across business units and with Corporate IT, managing vendors, third parties, and stakeholders to achieve alignment and resultsStrategic & Change Leadership: Proven skills in translating business strategy into technological roadmaps, leading teams through change, and building a culture of innovation, security, and accountabilityComputer Skills
Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, Project, and SharePointFamiliarity with ERP platforms, IT/OT infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity toolsets environmentCertificates, Licenses, Registrations
Relevant certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM), project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum), and IT/OT systems (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, ISA/IEC 62443) preferred
