The Enterprise Growth Initiatives (EGI) Team is responsible for (1) Incubating new innovative and growth ideas in early stage development, including working with large scale Technology Partners, Venture Capital firms, and technology and AI start-ups to build innovative and scalable AI-powered solutions with FactSet’s data estate, (2) Driving FactSet’s technology-focused investments to drive revenue growth for FactSet (3) Establishing the GenAI overall strategy, business case and product prioritization across SBUs, Sales, and Marketing to drive alignment and create actionable roadmaps for FactSet’s key client segments, (4) Facilitate the go-to-market with Marketing of the various new product initiatives to support our AI Blueprint, and (5) Provide GenAI Program Management to ensure success of this firmwide effort, provide transparency and accountability.
The Director of Technology Partnerships will be FactSet’s lead representative in the Bay Area to network with both new and established technology and Generative AI firms to identify future partnership opportunities for FactSet, increase our innovation, and scale our AI Partner Program.
The scope of firms will be broad but centered around Fintech and the use of software and technology to help innovate across the FactSet digital platform ecosystem which consists of 200,000 finance professionals across Financial Services and Capital Markets including Asset Management, Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Hedge Funds and Corporate Industry.
In the traditional market data and software market, FactSet is the leader leveraging technology to innovate and provide next generation solutions, having an API first culture, cloud-enabled, modern user experience and the most advanced Generative AI suite of solutions in the industry. Key amongst those solutions is our ground-breaking AI Partner Program which provides AI start-ups access to FactSet’s data & clients in a commercially beneficial relationship.
This important new role will be critical in ensuring FactSet maintains our innovation edge, by ensuring we understand the newest technology, solutions and start-ups that can add value to our business and clients, expanding our position as a Data + AI + Workflow provider. A large part of this role will be technology business development, meeting with fintechs, startups, venture capital, academics and other thought leaders and helping execute commercially beneficial new revenue generating technology partnerships.
Director of Technology Partnerships will develop a streamlined process to introduce the right contacts and companies to the appropriate FactSet leaders, including:
Sales team responsible for FactSet’s AI Partner Program, which brings fintechs and AI startups into the FactSet ecosystem who are looking to leverage FactSet’s massive data arsenal in their solution Business Development who is looking to make investments or acquire strategic assets Factset’s Generative AI leadership team to ensure FactSet is ahead of the next step in this AI revolution Product and Engineering leaders responsible for building next generation workflow solutions
The Director of Technology Partnerships will work for the Head of Enterprise Growth Initiatives and with the FactSet Executive and Leadership team and will require a leader who brings an entrepreneurial mindset who is highly collaborative, execution oriented, persuasive and results driven. A strong understanding of technology trends, Generative AI, and how technology can be applied to FactSet’s business and client segments including Asset Management, Banking, Wealth will be highly advantageous.
Experience in business development or strategic planning of a technology or fintech, investment banking technology analyst, venture capital or finance will be highly advantageous.
