Come build your career with us! **Job Summary and Qualifications** Responsible for maintaining oversight of the Therapy disciplines on a daily basis and allocating resources in a manner to meet needs and sustain volumes. Oversee coordination of recruiting and staffing of therapists, including coordination of student internship programs and daily labor management functions. Advise hospital management regarding the status of patient care, budgetary projections, and improvement efforts within therapy departments, including hospital throughput and strategic volume/growth initiatives. Anticipate and estimate the present and future need of service to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of patient care. Develop therapy policies to ensure standard practices. Collaborate with medical directors and appropriate physicians to ensure patient needs are met. This position will be responsible for therapy services across three (3) sites of service; including acute inpatient care at Las Palmas Medical Center, outpatient therapy services, and rehabilitation therapies at Las Palmas Rehabilitation Hospital. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Operations or Chief Operating Officer for Las Palmas Medical Center. This position will also partner closely with the Program Director of Las Palmas Rehabilitation Hospital to deliver on strategic priorities of the Rehab Service Line. + You will develop and administer therapy and ancillary services within the hospital. Promote a interdisciplinary coordination of services within PT, OT, Speech, and other ancillary services. You will monitor and achieve the financial objectives of LPMC. + You will be accountable for the daily operations of the therapy departments to include, staffing, supervision, financial outcomes, problem-solution, physician relations, patient and employee satisfaction, and human resource functions. + You will participate in the development and monitoring of the unit performance improvement objectives and activities, to include: Program Evaluation, Assessment of Program, Quality, Chart audits and CQI Activities. + You will directly supervise Therapy Staff to ensure accountability of unit Mission and Values, regulatory requirements, and adherence to hospital policies and general management principles over all clinical staff. + You will provide daily guidance in the application of staff performance, scheduled evaluations, new employee orientation, and staff education activities. + You will prepare management reports and documents as directed by Admin Director. You will maintain professional growth and development through in-house in services, seminars, workshops and professional affiliations. **What qualifications you will need:** + Basic Cardiac Life Support + Bachelor’s Physical Therapy (PT) or Occupational Therapy (OT) or Speech Therapy (ST) Master’s or Doctoral in either Physical Therapy; Occupational Therapy or Master of Science in Speech Pathology (MPT, DPT, MOT, OTD, MSSP) preferred + Minimum 5 years experience managing therapy services in an acute care setting + Required: Licensed Professional in a clinical health care specialty with current state licensure in clinical practice area or eligible for state license transfer.
