Director of Trade Execution Services

The Opportunity

This position is within the MML Investors Services, LLC Broker Dealer and Corporate RIA (MMLIS) on the Trading  Team.  The Director of Trade Execution Services will oversee the daily execution services MMLIS Trading, supervising the Trading Execution team.  This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, trading processes, and technology platforms.  This individual will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of trade execution, ownership of trading policies and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational workflows.  This individual will work in tandem with Trading Operations to ensure firm’s trading activities are executed smoothly and in compliance with all relevant regulations, including trade reporting and supervisory controls.

The Impact

Lead and manage the trade execution team providing training and development opportunitiesManage changing workloads by managing day to day load leveling and ensuring adequate cross-training.Maintain strong relationships with advisors and advisor practice management as well as internal stakeholders.Oversee execution of all trades and trade corrections. Manage trade escalations.Implement and maintain best practices for trade execution to minimize errors and operational risk.Maintain updated trading policies.Collaborate with technology partners to address current system enhancements and integrate new technologies in support of trading process.MMProduce management reporting and metrics to support decision making.Partner with Trade Operations, Compliance and Legal to identify and mitigate potential trading risksManage relationships with external partners.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of financial services experience with at least 7 years directly in a trading environment and 5 years directly managing and developing a team2+ years experience in electronic trading.2+ years experience in trade reportingCFA and/or MBA required.Series 7 / 24/ 4/ 53 Required

Preferred Qualifications

Strong management and leadership skills through a collaborative team approach.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.  Expertise in EXCEL and data management.Ability to coach others in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skillsStrong reporting and data analysis skills.  Experience establishing and tracking Trading KPIs

Salary Range: $131,100.00-$172,000.00
