University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Medicine: Medicine: Gastroenterology/Hepatology **Salary Range or Pay Grade** $500,000 - $560,000 a year **Description** The Department of Medicine and the Department of Surgery are seeking a Director of Transplant Research. As the region’s leading tertiary/quaternary level Transplant Center, the programs enjoy a robust regional referral practice in Liver and Kidney Transplant with investments in industry-leading transplant care, research, and excellent facilities, support and infrastructure. The Director of Transplant Research is a key leadership position within the Transplant Institute, responsible for overseeing and advancing our research efforts in the field of solid organ transplantation. This role requires a deep understanding of the scientific and clinical aspects of transplantation, as well as strong leadership and project management skills. The Director of Transplant Research will work directly with the Transplant Leadership Team, Surgical Team, Medical Team and external collaborators to develop and execute clinical research projects that advance our understanding of transplantation. They will also grow our clinical trials portfolio and collaborate on translational research with the transplant lab with the overall focus on expanding our research presence and establishing URMC as a national leader in transplant research. Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The positions offer highly competitive academic institutions.
