Job Description:

The Director of Treasury is responsible for overseeing and supporting the strategic, tactical, and operational responsibilities of the Treasury function. Drives the planning and execution of day-to-day and period-end Treasury activities including managing the company’s cash flow forecast, identifying cost-saving and profit maximizing opportunities within Treasury and ensuring compliance with company, department, and audit standards to maximize the protection of the company’s cash assets. Partners with the Treasurer to create the vision, strategy and standards by which the Treasury department provides leadership and value to the organization. Manages banking needs.

Responsibilities:

Lead the Treasury and Cash Management function, providing strategic direction and ensuring the team’s effectiveness in supporting the full talent lifecycle, including recruitment, training, and development.Establish and execute strategic Treasury policies, procedures, and systems that optimize cash management operations, enhance controls, and improve efficiency across the organization.Oversee and manage the daily cash forecasting process, ensuring accurate reporting of the company’s cash position to senior leadership.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key banking partners, optimizing the company’s banking structure, treasury “wallet,” and borrowing capacity.Drive the development, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive Treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.Provide leadership and oversight for the Treasury team’s involvement in the month-end close and cash reconciliation process.Review, approve, and make decisions on large-scale ACH, wire payments, and other major cash disbursements.Oversee the management of the company’s commercial card program, implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.Conduct periodic reviews of banking and armored carrier fees, identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating improved terms as necessary.Lead the negotiation and review of Treasury-related contracts with banks and service providers to ensure the best possible terms and conditions for the company.Identify and implement opportunities to optimize cash flow, including managing intercompany loans and improving overall cash management strategies.Leverage existing banking relationships to optimize domestic bank accounts, ensuring appropriate structure and operational efficiency.Evaluate and recommend new banking products, services, and platforms that support the company’s long-term treasury and cash management goals.Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Tax, Legal, and IT to ensure seamless integration of treasury strategies across the business.Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure transparency, compliance, and alignment with industry standards.Prepare and present comprehensive reporting packages to the executive team and Board of Directors, providing key insights on liquidity, cash management metrics, and operational performance.Lead and contribute to special projects, including M&A activities, capital raising efforts, and other strategic initiatives.Stay current on industry trends, banking regulations, and changes in accounting standards, proactively ensuring the company’s treasury function is at the forefront of best practices.Conduct ongoing research to identify investment opportunities and emerging trends in cash management, advising senior leadership on strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required10+ years of Corporate Treasury or Finance experience preferred6+ years management experience preferredPrior work experience with treasury products preferredPrior work experience with cash accounting and reconciliation preferred
