How do you excel in this position\n

The Director of Workplace Safety & Risk Management administers and oversees the companies' risk management programs and workers' compensation insurance program. Oversees general liability and property insurance, claims management, return-to-work program, employee safety, the companies' Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), emergency preparedness, and loss control.\n

What are we looking for\n\nBachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Risk Management, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related field is required.\nFive (5) years of experience in risk management, loss prevention, and\/or managing environmental or occupational health and safety programs required.\nThree (3) years of experience directly supervising personnel.\nExperienced in promoting a positive safety culture and collaboration across the company.\nKnowledge of regulations pertinent to environmental health, safety, and risk management.\nKnowledge of ergonomic principles, hazardous materials handling and disposal, and emergency preparedness practices.\nKnowledge of insurance principles and practices, including claims adjustment and settlements.\nKnowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes, laws, and regulations pertinent to
environmental health, workplace safety, and risk management.\nStrong communication and customer service skills required.\nAbility to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.\nAbility to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.\nMust be able to deal with a large volume of work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment\n\n

Additional skills preferred but not required\n\nAssociate in Risk Management (ARM) certification.\nChartered Property Casualty Underwriter certification.\nConstruction Risk Insurance Specialist certification.\nPrior Construction company experience a plus.\n\n

Within the range, wage will be determined by several factors including candidate knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
