The Director, Abiomed Strategy, Innovation Deployment (SID) Leader will be accountable for shaping, developing, deploying Global Supply Chain Strategy, developing Transformational Initiatives across manufacturing sites to enable profitable growth with resiliency and future-ready skills. This role will support the Abiomed Supply Chain portfolio with additional responsibility to functional process to enable the business to scale 4X in 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development, deployment, and implementation of the Global Operations Strategic Road Map that is aligned with Abiomed’s growth plansDirect efforts to scale business 4X in 5 years including capacity, facilities, and campus plansLead the efforts for Supply Network DesignEngage the Leadership Team and provide governance to the Strategy execution to deliver/exceed the desired business value, with appropriate controls, metrics, and leadership updatesPartner closely with Finance to drive Global Operations Business Planning/Long Range Financial Planning Cycles and ensure integration with overall Business plan.Build and develop a diverse and high-performing team with elevated capabilities that are future-ready (e.g., Digital)Be a key member of the Global Operation Leadership TeamEnsure strong partnership and collaboration across various functional pillarsProvide inclusive work environment to ensure diverse and complete solutionsLead all EHS and Facilities activities for Danvers and Woburn locations; collaborate with peers in Abiomed EU as well as J J partners.Estimated 30% travel

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required/ MBA preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

Strong end-to-end knowledge with 8 years combined experience across multiple Supply Chain functions preferably at least three of the following sub functions: Plant Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Planning, Strategy DeploymentStrategic Supply Chain thinking and vision – ability to visualize a successful supply chain and support the development of business processes to deliverStrong business and financial savvy in initiating and developing business case of large transformational program in terms of value proposition, budget as well as the ability to translate program deliverables and business models into future cost projections and execution planStrong analytical skills required for capacity and space planningExperienced project management of real estate sourcing, development, construction and fit-up programs.Experience with terms and contract negotiation.Customer Orientation (building and maintaining solid relationships with Senior Management and partners).Strong leadership, vison, and strategy setting. Ability to influence and collaborate across boundaries and understand needs from partners. Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and implementing significant influencing roles.Solid experience and knowledge of Process Excellence/Six Sigma/Lean tools and methodologies.Experienced People and Change Leadership with proven track record in attracting and developing talent and team dynamicsStrong verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex informationAbility to continuously improve the organization

Preferred:

LEAN/Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or above are preferred.Experience in the health care industry is preferred. MedTech/Wound Closure Healing would be a plusMulti-county and Multi sector experience preferred with experience across geographies of varied sizes and businesses.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $146,000 to $251,850. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
