Position Overview

The Director, Organization Transformation and People and Places (PPL) M&A leads the Organization Transformation Consulting Practice and People M&A strategy and team. This role will Act as the Steward of Autodesk’s Organization Transformation Framework and the Acquired Employee Experience in support of the Company’s growth goals.  They will lead two distinct sets of experts who will report to them. The first, is the Org Transformation Partners who act as the primary interface with the Business through our People Business Partners on active Organization Transformation efforts. The second, is the People M&A team which oversees the end-to-end People M&A processes, navigating the team through a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment across multiple transactions while engaging with key governance bodies and cross-functional workstreams throughout the lifecycle of a deal – from deal concept through to integration completion.  

 

This individual will do so by partnering closely with many cross functional partners including Chiefs of Staff, Corporate Development, Business Leaders, People Business Partners, People and Places Functions and Cross Functional leads to navigate, understand, and navigate these critical projects into (or out of) the business. They will represent all People and Places interests in the process, advocate for and design the optimal outcome for the organization.

Responsibilities

Oversee and evolve operating model for Organization Transformation work and act as steward of the evolution of the practice 

Help define governance, prioritization, and roles and responsibilities in the management of the Organization Transformation portfolio 

Establish strong working relationships with identified client group and broader groups of stakeholders 

Serve as an internal expert and advisor on Organization Transformation practices and efforts 

Establish and maintain relationships with external partners to enable business transformation efforts 

Act as M&A People and Places Partner on end-to-end transaction process to identify, scope and manage people and culture matters related to transactions. Beginning with pre-close (deal) activities all the way through post-close integration

Develop and engage internal stakeholders effectively throughout deal lifecycle to enable the desired Employee Experience and drive clarity in support of the Acquired Employee Experience 

Act as Steward and Leader of practices and processes for managing client and stakeholder expectations integrating external trends and best practices where relevant

Manage Organization Transformation Partners and People M&A team and external partners inclusive of ongoing performance management and resource allocation

Provide leadership on People and Places M&A initiatives and Act as Acquired Employee Advocate in relevant forum

Minimum Qualifications

8-10 Years work experience in Org Transformation Efforts and HR M&A/Deal experience preferred 

Preferred areas of HR experience include:

- HR (People) M&A / Deals  

- HR (People) Business 

- Leadership Assessment and Development 

- Global Employment Practices 

- Change Management and Communications  

Tech industry experience a must 

Consulting industry experience a plus 

Demonstrated global program/management capability 

BA/BS Required, MBA a plus 

Collaborative Mindset with Strong Relationship Management 

Collaborative Mindset with Strong Relationship Management 

Excellent communication and presentation skills with a variety of audiences including senior leadership and global employee populations 

Demonstrated leadership experience with a human centered approach

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $174,200 and $281,710. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
