Director Partnership Sales

Job Summary: 

The Director, Partnerships Sales will assist the VP, Sales & Marketing with identifying and creating new marketing partnerships to generate revenue for T-Mobile Center. This position will create and secure new business relationships and associated revenue.  

Essential Duties:        

Build and cultivate relationships with potential clients.  Make solicited and unsolicited contacts, network, and attend community and other events for purpose of maximizing sales opportunities.           Reach out to potential client executive level management to inquire if there are ways to create partnerships.  Respond to leads and general account inquires in a timely manner.            Close and execute new deals. Memorialize & document activities according to SOPs including outlining contract specifics and client timelines to transition to Client Activation team.        Responsible for the preparation of sponsorship presentations. Compile creative, innovative ideas and build presentations tailored to the needs of each client and event. Pitch event/sponsorship presentations to potential clients to create new business.      Evaluate historical data and reference guides to create strategy for creating sponsorships for specific events.  Review potential clients to evaluate possible partnership opportunities.             Follow established company SOPs regarding contracting, invoicing, execution, and follow up; includes providing support for client activation.         May assist other departments to ensure events are on schedule, including Marketing with their initiatives, Venue Operations with set-up, and Premium Seating with client service on show days as needed.   Keep management abreast of progress toward established revenue goals and progress in closing identified prospects through accurate verbal and documented reporting measures.            Assist VP with necessary analysis, research and planning to assure objectives and budgets are met.

Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):

A minimum education level of: BA/BS Degree (4-year) Sales, Marketing, Business or related fieldA minimum of 7 years of related work experienceProven results closing sales.Superior communication skills, both oral and written.Expertise in identifying opportunities, developing strategies and negotiating creative solutions.Ability to assist with effective management of a sales team; ability to motivate and support others in reaching their goals.Exceptional presentation skills while effectively using multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. Effectively present information and respond to questions from internal groups and potential and existing clients.Must possess basic computer skills using such programs as Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, escalation rates and sales volume.Capable of maintaining a flexible work schedule, which includes working event nights, sponsor events, community programming, etc.

Record of renowned sales efforts and positive attitude.Advanced Degree  

Additional Comments: 

Successful candidates will have a proven track record in building revenue generating relationships.  He/she will have an established reputation and track record of success.
