Job Summary\:

Oversees operational management and direction of assigned provider practices,collaborating with the hospital CEO and facility leadership to implement strategies and initiatives forpractice operations and growth. Also, responsible for the leadership of one or more Physician Practice
Administrators.

Essential Functions\:


• Leads the development of strategic and operational goals and objectives for the department, while assessing departmental performance in relation to these established criteria.
• Promotes positive work environments which enhances employee engagement and patient/customer satisfaction.
• Supports hospital strategy and physician operations, leading the effective operation ofdesignated practices.
• Oversees all aspects of practice operations and growth, including maintenance of key metrics,financial reviews, and practice growth initiatives and revenue cycle analysis.
• Engages with providers on a biweekly basis to ensure standards of communication andinformation are met and develop strategy on matters pertaining to physician operational needs.
• Prepares and delivers monthly physician reporting packages, while conducting weekly reviewsof financial performance with the providers.
• Develops and maintains an effective quality control program that, at a minimum, complies withapplicable compliance standards including but not limited to state and federal standards.
• Prepares budgets, evaluates historical performance, generates goals for future achievement,and performs action planning as necessary for back to budget variances.
• Monitors, reports, and presents financial performance for all assigned providers and practices,while collaborating with other practice leaders to ensure fiscal responsibility and adherence toannual practice budgets.
• Provides leadership to Practice Administrators, through performance management, coachingand talent development, ensuring communication occurs at least weekly.
• Monitors practices for efficiency improvements to reduce practice investment, including but notlimited to oversight of accounts receivable, budgeting, charge capture, monthly operatingreport (MOR) preparation, and budget management. Additionally, monitors practice start-ups
to aid in building existing practice revenue through charge capture, fee schedules, andimplementing new programs.
• Oversees all aspects of physician contracts (both employed and Physician ServicesAgreements [PSAs]), including productivity calculations, bonus structures, and contractrenewals.
• Oversees physician recruitment and coordinates on-site visits for potential candidates.
• Volunteers and actively participates in organizational-wide committees.
• Provides effective leadership to the assigned department(s) of responsibility.
• Ensures that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act of theState of Ohio.
• Ensures staff compliances with hospital/unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
• Participates in activities that ensure the competency of the staff.
• Ensures proper staffing for the department(s) of responsibility.
• Maintains accountability for fiscal management of the department(s).
• Demonstrates good management techniques in established lines of authority.
• Demonstrates ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations.
• Demonstrates maturity and accountability for job performance. Supports the philosophy,objectives and goals of the Department(s) and organization. Assesses areas of personal andprofessional growth.
• Supports and promotes excellence in customer/guest relations, patient experience.
• Supports and promotes the organization’s Quality, Infection Control, Safety, and RiskManagement Programs.
• Ensures 90% compliance on hand hygiene audits.
• Understands and adheres to all regulatory and compliance standards.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations\:


• Experience in managed care, contracting, and problem-solving is essential, along with astrong ability to interpret financial statements and develop operational budgets.
• Comfortable collaborating with physicians and healthcare providers, skilled in buildingcredibility through effective communication, empathy, and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledgeable of healthcare regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Possesses critical thinking and decisive judgement abilities, working independently withminimal supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, maintaining a courteous and professionaldemeanor while guiding staff to optimize patient care and collaborating for a multidisciplinary approach.
• Approximate percentage of time required to travel\: 30%
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
