This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the companies’ long term success. **This role is based entirely on-site at our Hunt Valley, Maryland Headquarters** **Key Responsibilities:** In close collaboration with Sinclair’s CEO and Executive Vice Chairman, the Director/Principal will: + **Industry & Company Identification:** Identify targeted industries and conduct extensive research to identify key companies within those industries that align with the Sinclair Ventures investment strategy. + **Investment Strategy & Execution:** Lead and manage the evaluation, structuring, and execution of investments across various sectors. Identify and develop new investment opportunities, conducting thorough due diligence and financial analysis. Demonstrate strong investment judgment by balancing the firm’s risk posture with the potential for financial upside. + **Portfolio Management:** Oversee the performance and strategic direction of portfolio companies, working closely with management teams to drive operational improvements, growth, and value creation. + **Networking & Deal Sourcing:** Leverage a deep and broad network of relationships to source high-quality, risk-mitigated investment opportunities. + **Board Involvement:** Hold board seats and work closely with the Private Equity team to monitor and manage portfolio companies, adding value through strategic oversight and operational improvements. + **Leadership & Mentorship:** Participate in Sinclair’s Senior Leadership Team and Investment Committee, serving as a mentor and culture carrier who promotes a positive and collaborative work environment. Manage and mentor junior investment professionals and analysts, providing guidance, support, and career development. + **Stakeholder Engagement:** Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, management teams, co-investors, and legal and financial advisors. + **Asset Management & Real Estate Investing:** Oversee the Asset Management/Real Estate Investing Group to ensure the firm’s investment strategy is aligned with performance goals. + **Financial Analysis & Reporting:** Lead the financial modeling, valuation, and structuring of deals. In addition to base compensation, this role includes participation in carried interest based on investment performance. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
