Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Provides engineering and technical support for new simple and combined cycle power plant projects and build outs of existing plants. Works to help identify and develop technologies and applications of these to help determine advisability of moving forward with project. Develop SOW technical scopes for Third party contract resources supporting development cost build and analytics Analyzes technical aspects and provides costs and budgeting to be applied to planning and cost analytics for projects, and ensures spending for overall budgets, schedules and performance standards are set, maintained and achieved.
Partners with multi-departmental leadership and other stakeholders to locate opportunities and develop and prioritize projects according to relevant measurement criteria. Responsible to ensure that all project development technical aspects are sufficient in supporting commercial approval and are adequate to support execution within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements. Maintains the efficiency of important aspects of the project management process such as planning, scheduling, coordination, and budget, and risk assessment. Defines and develops project management best practices, processes, and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals
Assesses on an ongoing basis new possible technical innovations and technology that may be used to improve efficiencies in existing power generation assets or in the development and implementation of new lines of business.

Responsible for following and understanding technical trends and emerging technology. Manages activities of engineering project support, including cost and budgetary accountability. Decisions typically related to implementation of department strategy, intradepartmental coordination, and business outcomes. Results have a significant impact on costs and the achievement of department objectives. Identifies opportunities which make a significant difference to the performance of multiple department functions and possibly organization-wide impact. Make recommendations for large-scale projects, a closely related set of projects and/or initiatives involving multiple functional Establishes operational objectives for multiple functions including work plans and delegating assignments to subordinate managers and senior professionals. Works within broad guidelines apply advanced technical knowledge of multiple functions to solve complex problems which may have a long-term impact on the department.Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, prefer Master’s Degree. 5+ years’ experience Mechanical Engineering and/or Power Generation/Construction/Development 5+ years project management experience managing development-oriented technical teams and engineering services and scopes Typically requires a minimum of 15+ years related experience overall
