Program Director (based in London)
Overview
The Program Director will have experience in leading large and complex Projects or Programs and international capital works. Key responsibilities include accountability for managing relationships, providing consulting advice and delivering results to Clients. The role will provide a high level of program leadership, direction and communication to account teams and local Project Managers, enabling them to provide effective and efficient results against key performance indicators (KPIs), financial targets and the Client's goals and objectives. The role will also require a robust commercial knowledge and a deep understanding of managing multi-faceted, complex schemes from start to finish.
Major Responsibilities
Working closely with the xxx as the Single Point of Contact managing the PMO process E2E.Manage the overall success of the program and project planning activities, including, effectively developing and driving the program, budget, schedule, project team, roles & responsibilities, stakeholder approvals, and identifying the risks and mitigation measures.Manage the development of templates and standard process needed, liaising with the other Regional PMO across JLL to identify best practice and adopt improvements.Ability to scope and set-up programs of work for new clients; provide advice on continuous improvements of existing programs.Advise on or recommend correct procurement strategies for various capital works programs / projects.Demonstrating strong diplomacy skills in managing complex stakeholders and consultants.Supporting core business values in delivery of Teamwork, Ethics and Excellence.Leading from the front on all matters of Health, Safety and Wellbeing.Provide leadership to project teams and act as the internal link to teams reporting back to central client Real Estate function and other stakeholders.Ability to present complex ideas to large audience with confidence and clarity.Achieve net margin target for the contract for JLL.Achieve account objectives & KPI targets for JLL.Creating a culture of accountability and ownership of projects in the programme. Empowering project leads to deliver projects.Ongoing Delivery Support
Lead in contract specific client performance meetings (monthly/quarterly). Lead/Monitor/Report in the development and management of capital/expense budgets variance reporting.Managing resource allocation, mobilization and demobilization, ensuring the right people are in the right positions.Advise on and ensure correct structure of governance, processes and procedures are in place for Client Programs .Develop and implement the annual management plan; accomplish key performance indicators and service level agreements as identified by client.Participate in development of the annual capital plan.Ensure that the client specific project delivery process is implemented on every project.Ensure that PMs are trained on (and utilize throughout the project) project delivery systems and technology (client specific / as required by client / account) (directly or via the Program team team).Oversee the development and timely submission of monthly/quarterly/annual reporting appropriate for the client.Develop best practices and innovations to drive continuous improvement and efficiency in the project process.Provide leadership for the successful implementation of special projects and initiatives.Conduct Client / Team / Site visits as required – includes international travel where as needed.Effectively manage issues and escalations.Personal attributes
An energetic and experienced professional with high interactive and personal skills .Articulate, with strong communication and leadership skills.Highly organized and able to effectively manage changing priorities; ability to multitask.Able to operate at high level, to ensure the program runs smoothly, also able to deep dive to solve problems.Strong technical competency in running capital projects and programs.Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, strong negotiation skills.Minimum of five years project/programme management experience in a multi-site environment.Perceptive, self-motivated, collaborative and capable of working across the region through remote management skills, the Program Manager will effectively provide an operational knowledge centre of exceptional quality.A Degree in Construction, Engineering, Design or related discipline.English, both written and spoken, to a good technical standard. Other languages an advantage (especially French, German &/or Spanish).Has experience in translating client needs into existing or new business growth.Quest for excellence and deliver optimization and continuous improvement.Demonstrated client relationship skills.Demonstrated people skills – ability to work effectively within a team effectively and work openly, constructively and collaborativelyStrong communicator – good presentation skills and possesses strong verbal & written communication skills (English & local language); also an active listener.Self-motivated and confident, Gravitas, EQ.Flexible – able to adapt and effectively deal with rapidly changing, stressful situations.Exhibits honesty & trustworthiness8#LI-ND1
