Regeneron is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Public Policy to lead our efforts in shaping and influencing government and multinational policy on issues including intellectual property, privacy, and artificial intelligence as well as supply chain and other FDA-related policies. The role is a key position within the Public Policy & Government Affairs (PP&GA) team will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to advance Regeneron's policy objectives and fostering relationships with key internal stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex legislative and regulatory environments.
As a Director, Public Policy a typical day may include:
Engage with internal subject matter experts and leaders to understand Regeneron’s business and corporate interests, recognize policy risks and opportunities, and determine short and long-term policy objectives in order to navigate and balance competing interests and objectives, taking into consideration Regeneron’s full portfolio and pipelineDevelop strategic priorities on federal, state, and international policy issues consistent with Regeneron’s policy and business priorities, objectives, and missionDevelop and implement comprehensive policy positions and strategies that align with Regeneron's business objectivesMonitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments at the federal, state, local, and international levels to determine the potential impact on and importance to RegeneronDevelop and execute strategic advocacy plans, including proactively crafting and vetting legislative and regulatory proposals as appropriate to advance Regeneron’s policy priorities and mitigate potential risksAdvocate for policies that support innovation, patient access, and the biopharmaceutical industryIn collaboration with lobbyist colleagues, build and maintain relationships with key government officials, policymakers, and regulatory agenciesProvide expert advice and guidance on policy and regulatory matters to internal stakeholdersEngage with industry associations, advocacy groups, and other external stakeholders to build coalitions and advance shared policy objectivesCommunicate Regeneron's policy positions and initiatives to internal and external audiences through various channelsIn collaboration with relevant internal team members, organize and participate in events, conferences, and forums to promote Regeneron's policy agendaAs needed, represent the Regeneron Public Policy & Gov't Affairs (PP&GA) team at key stakeholder meetings and engage with key external partners at meetings to identify opportunities for collaboration to advance common policy priorities.Collaborate with internal cross-functional team to execute on the strategic and tactical plansManage product and therapeutic area policy issues, represent the PP&GA function on internal teams (e.g., brand teams), and provide strategic counsel to functional leaders, brand teams and government affairs to ensure effective alignment with corporate policy positions.This role may be for you if:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related field, preferably within the biopharmaceutical industry

$180,400.00 - $300,700.00
