POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Clinical Quality is responsible for implementing Clinical Quality Management procedures. Procedures include but are not limited to, planning and orchestration of onsite quality review processes, survey preparation, policy development, incident review, and training.
Expected starting wage range is $134,060.10 - $165,568.54 Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Demonstrate the Telecare mission, purpose, values and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders
• Plans Organization-wide CARF accreditation processes and survey
• Plans and executes CARF accreditation and oversees Joint Commission accreditation processes.
• Collaborates with Chief of Clinical Quality, Nursing and Risk Management to provides ongoing management and training related to implementation of corporate-wide clinical quality processes.
• The Director of Clinical Quality is also responsible for:
o Providing leadership for national accreditation efforts
o Providing Quality data to Chief of Clinical Quality, Nursing and Risk Management and Telecare executives
o Supervising Clinical Quality Managers, Non-RNs
o Identifying actual and potential clinical risks or trends; communicating the presence of clinical risk to the Chief of Clinical Quality, Nursing and Risk Management and Telecare executives and decreasing potential liability to the corporation

o Supports programs undergoing complaint surveys.
Collaborates with VP – Quality and Risk Management, Senior Director of Nursing, Senior Leadership, VP’s of Operations, Regional Directors of Operation to provide ongoing management and training related to implementation of corporate-wide clinical quality processes and initiatives. The Director of Clinical Quality is also responsible for:o Providing Quality data to the VP – Quality and Risk Management, Senior Director of Nursing, Senior Leadership, VPs of Operations, Regional Directors of Operation and other Telecare leadership.
o Supervising Clinical Quality Managers (Clinicians and RNs).
o Identifying actual and potential clinical risks or trends; communicating the presence of clinical risk to the VP – Quality and Risk Management, Senior Director of Nursing, Senior Leadership, VPs of Operations, Regional Directors of Operation and Telecare leadership; and decreasing potential liability to the corporation.
Participates in Regional activities, effectively communicates with Regional leadership and oversees Regional Report completion. Provides direct oversight of all adverse/sentinel events that occur.o Works directly with programs and Clinical Quality Managers to provide consultation and guidance.
o Works collaboratively with other functional departments to ensure investigation activities are complete.
o Supports Clinical Quality Managers in RCA (Root Cause Analysis) completion and follow-up.
o Updates VP – Quality and Risk Management of sentinel event documentation collection and completion.
Creates/updates/reviews policies promptly through Policy Manager. Assists with content creation/coordination of quarterly Standardization Meetings for all product lines. Leads/participates in committees/workgroups that support the department and Telecare.Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted and/or changed at the discretion of management.
