Reporting into the VP Regulatory Compliance Strategy & Operations this Director be responsible for demonstrating thought leadership to manage complex & large regulatory initiatives. This includes the end-to-end management of key regulatory change initiatives across a myriad of subjects and building governance frameworks.
**How will you make an impact in this role?**
+ Among the specific responsibilities, this role will include:
+ Lead a high performing team, driving career talent progression through ongoing leadership engagement as well as a proactive and energised colleague engagement program.
+ Work with the legal and compliance teams to assess and understand impacts of upcoming complex and large regulatory change initiatives, partner with them to move them through the Archer lifecycle in a timely manner.
+ Stand up cross line of business and functional group programs of change to refine requirements, assess gaps, build complex plans and execute on them.
+ Ensure risks and issues are effectively identified, assessed, prioritised, and managed to deliver on local business, regulatory and AXP-wide expectations.
+ Ensure the EU legal entities are informed of changes and risks that impact, or potentially impact upon them, through the existing governance frameworks.
+ Connect with groups to assess external landscape and obtain competitive intelligence to inform program strategy and execution
+ Partner with compliance and legal to scan the horizon for upcoming future initiatives
+ Maintain the visibility of these important programs through multiple communication streams
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Demonstrable experience of establishing and leading complex and challenging change initiatives, involving multiple lines of business and functional groups, following a standard project methodology is essential
+ Ability to build, lead and inspire cross-functional teams effectively to drive results without direct reporting relationships.
+ People leadership experience, with an ability to coach and nurture a diverse team through challenging situations, developing them and maintaining their wellbeing
+ Strong and compelling executive presence, effective communicator at senior executive level with long standing experience of Board or equivalent level presentations
+ Impeccable stakeholder management skills with a proven record of positively collaborating and partnering with stakeholders
+ Experience working within or with Operational Excellence, Compliance, Operational Risk, or a related discipline beneficial
+ Purposeful, energized by difficult challenges without a clear path to resolution. Able to collaborate with others to solve problems and reach a consensus.
+ Resilient, with strong time management skills, able to balance multiple priorities under pressure
