Job SummaryThe primary responsibility of this position is to manage UGIES’s RNG business, which includes managing partner and customer relationships, identifying and delivering opportunities to create and/or enhance the profitability of UGIES’ existing RNG business, as well as conducting activities that will potentially grow the business into new geographies and product lines.
Duties and Responsibilities Closely monitor the RNG business by conducting market research, preparing competitor profiles and market projections, and networking with producers, developers, bankers, consultants, and other industry participants. Identify potential opportunities – add new customers/expand existing customer relationships, existing asset optimization/expansion, acquisitions, partnerships, new asset development, new business/product lines. Evaluate and screen opportunities by performing necessary market, technical and financial analysis. Prepare and present viable opportunities to management for review and approval. Coordinate with legal regarding proposals and proposed arrangements. Manage the implementation of opportunities and existing customer and partner relationships. New partners and customers/expanded relationship: Negotiate and finalize agreements. Existing customer and partners/expanded relationship: Negotiate and finalize agreements. Acquisitions: Perform due diligence, prepare financial proformas, lead negotiations and finalize agreements. Capital project development: Coordinate with Engineering & Project Management in developing cost estimates and schedules, prepare financial proformas, assist in project development, negotiate contracts with customers/counterparties, monitor project development. Function as primary customer contact. Identify and mitigate client issues by managing internal processes and ensuring other parts of the organization, such as Operations, Accounting, Engineering, Tax, etc. meet the business expectations. Maintain an open line of communication with our customers. Overnight travel will be required. Occasional visits to producer and RNG facilities, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have overall understanding of the US natural gas and RNG businesses, including supply, trading, logistics and operations. Proficiency in financial modeling of capital projects and acquisition targets. Knowledge of MS Office Products (Excel/PowerPoint/Word). Professional, reliable and self-directing work habits. Excellent communications skills and capable of conducting presentations to executive management and leading executive management planning sessions. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven negotiation skills. Education and Experience BS degree in Finance/Business/Engineering or other related discipline. MBA and/or other post-graduate education, preferred. At least 10+ years of US business development experience.
