Position Summary

The Director of Retail Talent Development, Training and Change Leadership creates the strategy to immerse our retail organization in our Brand Strategy and Culture and the initiatives that propel our business forward. In partnership with Food Lion Retail Leadership, they lead the development of mission critical talent through the delivery of the Food Lion Retail Talent Planning process and our leadership college portfolio. This leader provides Organizational Development/Organizational Effectiveness expertise in support of the Food Lion Retail Leadership team to drive business changes that impact retail operations, and is responsible for an overall training/talent development budget in excess of $25,000,000 annually.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Develops short and long-term Change Management strategies to support the Implementation of Easy, Fresh and Affordable, you can count on Food Lion Every Day across the Food Lion banner. Collaborates with Food Lion leadership to design and deliver large scale organizational immersions and supporting tool sets to advance our Brand, Strategy and Culture. Collaborates with EVP Retail Operations and Food Lion Retail Leadership Team to design and deliver bi-annual Retail Business meeting (Includes Next Conversation) Facilitates bi-annual DVP planning session Manages an overall training/talent development budget of $25,000,000 annually. Accountable for Food Lion retail talent planning process to ensure ready replacement for mission critical retail roles, ensuring ready replacements for talent ahead of need. Collaborates with retail divisional leadership to ensure the strategic development of bench depth. Primary retail liaison to Talent to deliver global talent planning and development initiatives. Accountable for the design, execution and ongoing refinement of our Retail Food Lion Leadership College Portfolio. Accountable for delivery of the Retail Management Trainee Program intergration experience to selected candidates. Partners with HR shared services to ensure consistency, support and efficiency of all tools, programs and processes that impact Retail Operations. Basic Qualifications
Proven track record of developing others. Organizational Development/Organziational Effectiveness Understanding of and experience with Adult Learning Theory. Proven track record in several key leadership positions Proficient in PC skills such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Skills and Abilities
