Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Director of Risk Management - Clinical, Hospital Based.
Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift
Position Location: Onsite at Sentara Albemarle Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC
Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).
Responsibilities:
Lead facility risk management activities including event management, incident reporting, rounding, senior leadership reporting, CANDOR/disclosure “just in time” training, education on risk initiatives.Partner with Quality and Safety to reduce risk and improve patient safety.Coordinate and maintain loss control program, administer the risk management program on a day-to-day basis, manage and analyze risk management data, and conduct risk management educational programs.Coordinate with division leaders and collaborate with clinical teams to develop strategies to prevent medical error and reduce loss.Engage team members to evaluate incidents and assist in investigation to mitigate harm and exposure to the organization.Ensure compliance with risk management related laws and regulations to control and minimize losses.Identify trends and review system reports; conduct loss control audits; and conduct reviews to evaluate patient care quality and to identify possible risk exposures.Participate with select committees related to the assessment of patient care and safety, customer satisfaction and facility issues to assist in providing risk management expertise and direction.Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Level DegreeMinimum 5 years of Risk Management experience in a healthcare settingDiversity and Inclusion at Sentara
