We are looking for a Director who will be responsible for managing, executing and overseeing regional Record to Report (RTR) activities focused on quality and timely core accounting activities. The Director will deliver key Controllership objectives while supporting the Mission & Vision of Carrier Corporation Finance. **About the role** This is an excellent opportunity to evaluate, analyze and manage complex accounting activities to ensure they are in alignment with US GAAP and Corporate policies with a focus on financial reporting and internal control activities. In addition, this role will engage with key internal and external business partners, Segment Controllers and others on complex accounting projects and processes around RTR activities. This role will develop, direct, plan and evaluates regional accounting activities to ensure they are in alignment with US GAAP and Corporate policies with a clear focus on financial reporting and internal control activities. This role will own critical accounting activities and processes and have responsibility over SOX results and reporting for global processes and projects. Reports to the Regional Controller, Center of Excellence-Record to Report. **Key Responsibilities:** + Direct, manage and oversee regional RTR activities on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis + Develop and own clear intake processes and procedures for RTR activities, in alignment with RTR taxonomy. + Manage and report on control activities including support of internal and external audit activities + Own and deliver on regional RTR projects to streamline activity and deliver best practices + Ability to communicate and influence key internal and external business partners + Own the transformation of the accounting and controls processes for Carrier regional RTR activities + Continuously assess and improve the RTR process, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining, and standardization. Implement best practices and drive process efficiencies to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting + Ensure accurate and timely financial results, monthly closing and compliance activities for complex RTR processes + Transform programs and processes to consolidate activities and standardize across Segments, from initial development through implementation and ongoing management and measurement + Analyze complex activities across business entities, along with review and analysis of regional balance sheet accounts + Develop, manage and lead a matrixed team of skilled accountants and professionals in a regional hub location + Understand and apply localized accounting complexities and requirements **Qualifications and Experience:** + Chartered Accountant or equivalent with 16+ years of experience, in the RTR function leading teams of 150 + Extensive Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS + Experience in maintaining a strong internal control environment and compliance-SOX compliance + Experience in manufacturing industry financial reporting and accounting processes. + Extensive working experience in ERPS, Global Reporting Tools. + Global transition experience, stake holder management and experience in shared services matrixed environment. + Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines. + Continuous Improvement mindset + Superior communication skills **Benefits** We are committed to offering competitive benefits programs for all of our employees and enhancing our programs when necessary. + Have peace of mind and body with our health insurance + Drive forward your career through professional development opportunities + Achieve your personal goals with our Employee Assistance Programme **Our commitment to you** Our greatest assets are the expertise, creativity and passion of our employees.
