We are growing the quality, breadth, and depth of the Salesforce ecosystem of ISV partners who extend our platform to meet the unique needs of current and future customers. 

To meet this objective, we seek an experienced Director/Senior Product Manager to join our team and lead strategically driven engagements with Salesforce’s largest and most successful ISV and OEM partners. You will demonstrate the technical and leadership skills necessary to both inspire the creation of new products and thoughtfully mature the products of our Salesforce partners. This role requires a broad, in-depth understanding of the Salesforce Platform, the Salesforce metadata framework and its role creating cross-cloud alignment. This role also requires knowledge of standard methodologies to address Platform constraints, and the ability to identify and advocate for impactful Platform changes, especially for our Data, AI, and consumption-based products.

You will work within our Platform Product organization, and collaborate with Product GMs, Sales leaders, ecosystem partners, and end customers. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in expanding the quality, breadth, and depth of our partner ecosystem, ensuring that our partners demonstrate Salesforce technology to its fullest.

Role Overview

The Summit ISV Partner Product Manager will lead focused engagements with Salesforce's most strategic partners as a trusted advisor, guiding the investment, development, and growth of new partner products and representing the highest-value innovations for partners with Salesforce product teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic engagements with Salesforce's most important partners on the highest priorities, aimed at unlocking new value by bringing innovative Salesforce technology to ISV and OEM customers.

Craft a vision and strategy for each partner, and identify and orchestrate the activities of technical resources focused on delivering timely and actionable technical information to partners.

Engage with internal/external partners & external customers to understand and identify product changes to meet the needs of specific partners. Resolve challenges and identify new opportunities for value & scale for partners.

Serve as a primary point person for feedback, questions, and comments regarding extensibility of Salesforce products to partners — from customers, sales, success, and others.

Handle the risks, issues, and actions tied to your engagements, and build mitigation plans to ensure meeting expected outcomes and timelines.

Analyze various data and performance metrics to develop insights, recommendations, and prioritization of investments for partners’ products and their go-to-market strategies. Partner with Salesforce GTM, GTP, Research & Insights, and others to help evaluate the competitive edge and viability of different investment and partnership options.

Chip in to POCs and advise partners with complex software development tasks. Advocate for modern software development methodologies to drive quality delivery of enterprise solutions. 

Organize and promote ISV and OEM training, talks, and awareness programs for Salesforce T&P employees. Provide mentorship to drive business outcomes as one unit.

Design and deliver external speaking engagements at conferences, events, and partner summits to showcase standard processes and innovative partner use cases. 

Launch SME working groups focused on extending the Salesforce Platform for Partner and industry-vertical use cases.

Required Skills/ Experience

6+ years of experience in tech, product development, or similar fields. Customer-facing PM experience is a plus.

Knowledge of Salesforce product and platform features, capabilities, and methodologies. Experience as a Salesforce partner is a plus.

Leadership DNA. Ability to educate, motivate, and align employees, customers, and partners. Consistent track record to take ownership of project delivery and multi-task on multiple projects.

Be an exceptional written and oral communicator and comfortable addressing both business and technical executives.

Experience with modern software engineering practices and product development methodologies, especially bringing a product from concept through the entire product development cycle.

Proficiency in programming using Salesforce low-code tools, Apex, Java, JavaScript, and XML and their use in the development of CRM solutions, including implementing new instances of Salesforce from scratch. Demonstrated experience with modern cloud native patterns and building CI/CD pipelines a plus.

A related technical degree required

Preferred Skills/ Experience

10+ years of customer-facing experience in tech, product development, or similar fields. Team leadership a plus.

Deep knowledge of Salesforce product and platform features, capabilities, and standard methodologies. Experience as a Salesforce MVP and/or CTA is a plus.

Experience guiding modern software engineering practices and product development methodologies from practical experience, having brought multiple products from concept through the entire product development cycle in Product and/or Engineering capacity.

Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new and emerging technologies, methodologies, solutions in the cloud/IT space. Advanced generative and/or predictive AI knowledge a plus.

Ability to build influential relationships and work in a cross-functional or matrixed environment.

Understanding of the broader software marketplace and the differentiators of various offerings.

You’re as comfortable jumping into a technical engineering conversation as you lending your voice to long-term product strategy and market analysis.

Experience independently building presentations from scratch and speaking publicly to executive leadership, participating in the sales cycle, and handling critical customer issues.

Ability to influence and effectively drive conversations at the C-level; facilitate difficult discussions and be adept at handling objections from multiple levels of an organization.

Positive team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused attitude. Focus on partnership and collaboration with your peers and partners.

Deep knowledge of and commitment to ISV and OEM partner application development practices, especially as they apply to growing the overall ecosystem.

A pioneering innovator who continually studies new technologies and functionality, and is involved in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies. Entrepreneurial thinker with a track record of identifying and delivering impactful product changes.

In office expectations are 36 days/a quarter to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $192,900 to $323,400.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
