Overview
The Mastercard Decision Management Platform team has an exciting opportunity to hire a DevOps Director to lead teams working on developing new deployment, automation and monitoring capabilities. The AI & DPE program enables intelligent decision based products through real time and near real time streaming analytics with the ability to govern these decisions and manage their outcomes with business agility at global scale. The Decision Management Platform (DMP) is embedded in the Mastercard network processing all authorization, clearing, and authentication transactions and powers over 20 different products and services including Safety Net, Decision Intelligence, Customer Exposure Monitoring, 3DS 2.0 Risk Based Authentication.

Role
A DevOps Director will ensure operational criteria like system availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, self-healing and deployment automation are implemented throughout the delivery process. Business Operations plays a key role in leading the DevOps transformation at Mastercard through our tooling and by being an advocate for change and standards throughout the development, quality, release, and product organizations.
\t• Provide detailed technical analysis of product or application hardware and software to ensure that business and functional requirements can be met.
\t• Hunger for Systems and Technical knowledge – constantly analyzing and innovating new, better approaches to our systems.
\t• Work with a global team spread across tech hubs in multiple geographies and time zones.
\t• Use Jenkins and XebiaLabs XLR to orchestrate builds as well as link to Sonar, Chef, Maven, Artifactory, etc. to build out CI/CD pipelines.
\t• Hands on experience of Chef cookbook development and testing with kitchen.
\t• Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.
\t• A good people manager to help build employee careers and handle day to day activities outside software development.
\t• Consistently raise standards, insisting on better and continuously improving.
\t• Manage vendor relationships for SOW engagements and vendor software packages we utilize on the platform.
\t• Strategic and Tactical vision that enables immediate and long term growth of the platform.

\t• Must provide the necessary skills to have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
\t• Self-driven, have the ability to analysis and identify current automation, deployment and monitoring gaps.
\t• High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in a collaborative (Agile) environment.
\t• High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
\t• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills.
\t• Proven experience in technical requirements gathering and documentation.
\t• Experience with Chef, Sonar, Maven, Artifactory, Splunk, Dynatrace
\t• Experience with automation for branch management, code promotions, and version management is a plus.
\t• Experience monitoring high volume systems.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
