Job Summary

Leads the business analytics and reporting function for day to day Supply Chain Technology applications, report management strategy, data modeling and analytics support to all Supply Chain functions as well as key stakeholders within Lexington Medical Center (LMC).  Provides innovative solutions regarding data and collaboration with Decision Support to reduce costs and increase efficiencies within LMC.  Manages all Supply Chain ERP functions, troubleshooting, GHX Marketplace oversight, Supply Chain technology management as well managing and building databases for SC functions such as contracting, purchasing, inventory, and financial impact statements for Supply Chain and Executive Management.  The Director is responsible for producing reports to support strategic sourcing activity, operational/purchasing efficiency, inventory velocity, and general operational initiatives from Oracle and other system data bases. 

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Analytics  or related field.
Minimum Years of Experience: 5 Years of Experience as a Manager in Supply Chain Operations
Substitutable Education & Experience: None.
Required Certifications/Licensure: Oracle Certified or must become Oracle Certified within 24 months of being hired into role.
Required Training: None

Essential Functions The Director will align strategies with critical business intelligence data requirements to support system Supply Chain and stakeholders. Partner with Supply Chain Technology (Oracle, Decision Support) to develop a roadmap to integrate data from different business applications and develop a holistic supply chain information model - from product development to product fulfillment. Oversee the implementation and enhancement of cutting-edge analytics tools and technologies and ensure data quality and accuracy. Enable and expand direct access to information and reporting by our cross-functional teams. Ensure team members have the information readily available to perform their business functions. Collaboration with cross-functional departments involved in strategic sourcing activity to understand product information, certify usage and order data, and enable Supply Chain to develop reports on usage, sourcing trends, and substitute inventories. Balance technical expertise with business strategy and communication skills. Act as a bridge between data-driven insights and decision-making processes, enabling the business to make informed choices based on accurate and relevant information. Collaborate with the Supply Chain leadership team to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for Supply Chain departments, developing reports/dashboards for Supply Chain Operational and Financial dashboards, Category Management/Service lines, and other key areas within LMC from a Supply Chain Sourcing and operational standpoint to enhance internal customer satisfaction. Works with Supply Chain leadership to develop work plans defining tasks, target dates, level of efforts, resources required, skills required, etc. for various initiatives in Sourcing and Service Line procurement. Work with Supply Chain and Clinical leadership to stream line reporting with point of use (POU) systems to measure throughput and daily/weekly/monthly supply assets on hand. Formulate a trend analysis (seasonality, industry shortages, etc) model encompassing procedural areas with the LMC system, to include medsurg and physician preference items.  Develop (in conjunction with the Director of Logistics) an inventory tracking system for LUM and bulk items.  Should consider evaluating operational practices and translating into technical and business specification documents leading to better workflows. Effectively uses a variety of techniques (verbal and written) to ensure clear and timely communication to Supply Chain, Clinical, and Executive leadership, other stakeholders  and customers regarding supply utilization with supporting data and databases. May serve as a project manager for some of the high profile implementations, upgrades and enhancements. Coordinates and involves end-users, impacted department / unit team leaders, as well as participating Supply Chain team members for all projects. Educates and advises peers and other colleagues on existing application functionality and new functionality available in upgrades as it relates to Supply Chain technology or interfacing technology between Supply Chain and other stakeholders. Research suppliers and service offerings that would add value to LMC stakeholders from a Supply Chain perspective.  Stays informed of new developments and trends in the healthcare/supply chain information industry regarding new tools, job aids, in order to make recommendations to Supply Chain and Executive leadership.
  Duties & Responsibilities Maintains library of Supply Chain documentation including development of project plans, manuals, in-house diagrams and process flow charts according to the departmental standards. Aid procurement activity with tools and technology to reduce invoice discrepancy including accurate EDI feeds from suppliers. Work with IT to develop (when applicable) interfaces between Supply Chain data and clinical systems. Develop and implement, in conjunction with other Supply Chain Directors, a system wide capital equipment database complete with associated maintenance contracts. Identify process improvements regarding the movement and use of data in all Supply Chain departments, as well as Clinical areas interfacing with Supply Chain. Aid the Director of Inventory in establishing an Inventory Management efficiency program that includes increases order efficiency, enhanced staff coverage, and potentially increasing usable supply space. Manage the supplier relationships from a technical aspect with all punchout catalog suppliers. Develop Sourcing reports in conjunction with Decision Support s leading to enhanced SC operational activities such as dashboarding, ordering patterns, transaction history, Sourcing models, reimbursement models, and physician use modeling. The Director will oversee and manage the Oracle Item Master to include maintenance and additions to the item master. This includes all price changes, UOM changes, and contractual changes. Responsible for training and management for all Supply Chain technology applications and report management. Increase EDI percentages in conjunction with GHX.  Will oversee and be the gatekeeper of GHX Marketplace. Establish various Tableau dashboards in conjunction with Decision Support to increase viability of sourcing activity.  This includes the reimbursement and payor information supplied by Decision Support. Lead in implementing distribution technology for the LMC warehouse to distribute to LMC and other Physician Network members. All other duties as necessary.
