ResponsibilitiesThe Director, Supply Chain Management directs and oversees the organization's supply chain, coordinating the movement of raw materials, in-process goods, or completed merchandise to ensure that production needs or customer expectations are met. You will establish and implement strategies meant to optimize organizational inventory levels and support organizational business objectives. You will develop and maintain relationships with vendors that can improve efficiency or performance of supply chain networks. You will set supply chain performance standards and tracks progress against goals. You will analyze historical data to forecast demand and predict inventory needs.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies aligned with the company's overall goals. Procurement & Sourcing: Manage the procurement process, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials. Logistics & Distribution: Oversee all aspects of logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure timely availability of products. Demand Forecasting: Analyze market trends and customer demand to accurately forecast future needs. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support a team of supply chain professionals. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, such as disruptions or shortages. Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Project Management: Manage various programs and projects for the business and to help directly improve operations and supply chain.
