Aspirus in Wausau, WI is seeking a System Director of Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing & Value Analysis to join the team! 

Working closely with the Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer, the System Director, Strategic Sourcing and Value Analysis is responsible for optimizing all strategic sourcing, contracting, and value analysis functions, processes, and systems. This role is accountable for leading those activities across the entire health system. The System Director is chiefly accountable for the collaborative development, integration, implementation, and optimization of the Strategic Sourcing strategy for all goods and purchased services. This position also oversees the development and management of a system wide Clinically Integrated Value Analysis program, ensuring the timely coordination and complete execution of product contracting decisions, clinical review of product viability, and collaboration with system, regional, and local clinical teams and committees. The System Director performs all duties in a manner that promotes Aspirus’ mission, values, and philosophies. Additionally, this position takes strategic direction from the Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer of Supply Chain and assesses, plans, develops, executes, and implements strategies and tactics to achieve optimal financial performance, outstanding operational efficiency, supply chain leadership excellence, clinical superiority, system standardization, and enhanced customer and patient experience. The System Director focuses on improving organizational capabilities, mitigating risk, optimizing processes, building teams, and directing management and staff development. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with executive leaders, peers, physicians, and other staff throughout the health system, as well as with external business partners, is crucial. The individual in this position is expected to possess foresight, be an innovator, and demonstrate the ability to implement and execute strategic plans while providing direction to team members. The incumbent will also address complex risks and situations, minimizing such risks through consultation with the Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer of Supply Chain as needed.

Experience/Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Knowledge of hospital management and policy administration, as well as development and implementation of budgets, financial strategies and standards normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree.Minimum of 5 to 7 years of strategic sourcing, supply chain experience in a healthcare setting.Certification in Supply Chain Management from a professional organization such as Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) from the American Hospital Association or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) from the Institute for Supply Management or Senior Professional in Supply Management (SPSM) from Next Level Purchasing Organization or from a similar organization is highly preferred.Certification in lean or six sigma from a training provider accredited by either the Council for Six Sigma Certification or the International Association for Six Sigma Certification is preferred.Demonstrated leadership, management and problem-solving skills.Service oriented, strategic leader with demonstrated quantitative, technical and financial expertise.Proven track record of performance improvement and project management skills.Excellent presentation and communication skills.Able to be successful in a fast-paced, high-tension, heavy workload environment with ever-changing priorities.
