Your Role:

 

Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate new technologies and opportunities for innovation and growth in innovation vector areasDefine and facilitate a technology vision and strategy for Life Science, in alignment with the company's goals and mission and in alignment with Technology Leadership Board and Innovation Board and ensure the strategy is implemented in Technology Roadmaps across MilliporeSigmaSupport establishment and maintenance of best practices and standards for technology pioneering Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and customersRepresent MilliporeSigma Life Science's CTO within the company and at the "Merck KGaA, Darmstadt Germany" group level, promoting the company's science and technology workRepresent MilliporeSigma in the life science industry and technology community, and promote the company's brand and reputation

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in science and engineering related to Life Science, consulting and/or business development experience is beneficial At least 10 years of experience in a technology-related management role in the life science industry related to more than 1 business area

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Deep understanding of next generation biology technologiesDemonstrated ability to credibly influence executive team to ensure customer and market insights are incorporated in their decision-makingDemonstrated experience with external collaborations (customers and institutes) in life science Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (both written and oral) with the ability to present to small and large groups, and to the most senior leaders at the organization; ability to shape decision-making through insights presentation and to deal with unexpected questions and challenges on the spotAbility to lead a cross-functional discussion in an organized and tactful manner, systematically using supporting information and logic, experience working on and influencing cross-functional teamsStrong ability to analyze unrelated and sometimes incomplete data sets to make significant decisions about MilliporeSigma’s businessTrack record of working effectively under pressure, and with competing, changing and tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
