Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director/VP of Finance to join our healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the financial health of the company, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
Provide financial insights to support decision-making at the executive level.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure adherence to healthcare industry regulations and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and maintain compliance.
Budget Management:
Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish realistic and achievable financial goals.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Implement cost control measures to enhance financial efficiency.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess financial risks, proposing mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization's financial stability.
Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and their potential impact on financial operations.
Financial Operations:
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
Streamline financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
Optimize working capital and identify opportunities for cash flow improvement.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
Provide strategic financial leadership to the executive team, offering insights and recommendations on key financial decisions.
Collaborate with other departments to support business development and growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
o Proven experience (8+ years) in financial leadership roles within the healthcare industry.
o Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, reimbursement methodologies, and compliance requirements.
o Exceptional financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
o Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
