American Express Company seeks Directors, Marketing Analytics & Business Intelligence to drive and execute analytics and business intelligence tactics to enhance the Company’s digital acquisition efforts for new and returning customers.  Plan a data analytics-based strategic perspective on content and merchandizing tactics.  Develop and refine broader cross-channel marketing themes, including incentive and content strategies, customer segmentation, and personalization.  Leverage data-driven ideas and opportunities to tune and adjust digital marketing programs to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiencies. Partner with data-analytics and modeling teams to model data for decision making, develop subject matter expertise in a digital marketing landscape, strengthen and ensure consistency in analytics and business intelligence processes and frameworks.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Business Administration, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with transforming large amounts of unstructured data, devising break-down analytics and insights to provide the bridge between data and business strategies. Experience must include 4 years of experience with: translating complex analyses for technical and non-technical audiences; analysis of large datasets; and SAS, SQL, STATA, and MS Excel for spreadsheet modeling and reporting. Experience must include 2 years of experience with: developing functions in R to perform data analysis; analytics and optimization platforms including Adobe Analytics, Adobe DMP, backend SQL-based data reporting tools, Big Data infrastructures, Content Management, Double Click Manager, Excel, Maxymiser, and Test and Target. Experience must include 1 year of experience with data analysis and modeling for digital acquisition and marketing. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.

Job Location: New York, NY

Salary Range: $236,038.00  to $240,000.00  annually
