As a Disabled Veteran’s Outreach Specialist/Workforce Consultant you will: * Conduct both in-person and digital outreach to reach veterans effectively. * Collaborate with community partners to expand employment opportunities. * Provide outcome-based, client-specific services to a socio-economically diverse population and cultures. * Deliver specialized employment services and access to supportive programs for those experiencing severe barriers to employment. * Build relationships with businesses, education, economic development, and other community partners. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:* If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have the following knowledge, skills or abilities: * Basic workforce development concepts, case management, and knowledge of local social service agencies and community resources. * Skill in creating networks of people and agencies. * Interviewing others to obtain information and insight. * Helping others identify and achieve goals. * Assisting people who are struggling personally or professionally to access assistance. * Accurately and timely data entry of notes. * Interact positively with a variety of personalities and socio-economic populations. *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* Your preparation for this opportunity could include a combination of relevant experiences including a degree in a field such as business, public administration, social work, non and a year of related experience or possibly even no degree but 5 years of relevant experience that has prepared you for this opportunity. *Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered. *In order to qualify for this position, you must be one of the following: * *• Qualified service-connected disabled veterans.* *• Qualified eligible veterans, or* *• Qualified eligible persons, as defined in Title 38, United States Code, Section 4101(5).* ***Documents supporting the requirements listed above must be received by the closing date and emailed to DLIapps@mt.gov*** *HOW TO APPLY FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY:* A complete state application is not required; however, you will need to initiate the application and attach the resume, cover letter or other required documents at time of application to be considered for this position.
