The Opportunity
Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Disaster Recovery and Vendor Manager. This role involves developing, coordinating, and testing disaster recovery plans to protect assets, data and IT systems and works closely with our IT vendors to develop and manage vendor relationships with company-approved vendors. Work closely with MSPs and understand the contractual requirements with the MSP has to Valvoline to ensure Valvoline’s interests are being met. You will be responsible for establishing operational plans for job area; developing and implementing new processes, standards or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results; and communicating with leadership.
How You'll Make a Difference
Works with various stakeholders to identify critical business applications and develop disaster recovery plans to protect company IT systems and data.Coordinates and oversees implementation and testing of DR plans with the relevant business units.Analyze vulnerabilities within current systems and work with the IT department to evaluate risk and develop strategies for Disaster recovery.Manage and build positive relationships with vendors and evaluate vendor performance.Manage MSP relationships; assist with contract negotiations, ensuring that contracts meet business expectations, and work with internal legal and procurement teams to ensure contracts comply with company requirements.Work with the IT team(s) to help select the best vendor that fits the department and company needs.Identifies, develops, and implements continuous process improvements and best practices into all areas (e.g., process, metrics, performance, etc.) to enable accurate, efficient, and effective systems' operations and customer satisfaction.Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or relevant years of experienceRelevant technical and process certifications (Disaster Recover examples: DRCS, DRCP, DRCE, CDRE, ABCP, BCCP, BCCS, BCCE; Vendor Management examples: CTPE, CPSM, VME, CVM) preferredProject Management Professional (PMP) preferredMinimum of 12 years of experience developing, managing, and executing disaster recovery planning processesMinimum of eight years of experience managing vendors, vendor relationships, and vendor assessments/reviewsMinimum of eight years of working with and managing MSPsExperience in disaster recovery planning and execution, and process improvement involving broad-based information systems, utilizing tools and techniques to effect business changeDemonstrated experience in understanding business requirements, across several business units, to effectively negotiate contracts with vendorsAbility to coordinate efforts to plan, design, and implement effective disaster recovery plansAbility to participate in decision making and anticipate organizational needsCapable of presenting well designed, cost effect solutions to address business and organizational needsCan manage or participate in large scale multi-disciplined projectsStrategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship managementExcellent analytical, planning, and communication skillsMust be authorized to work in the U.S.We Take Care of the WHOLE You
