New River Valley Community Services is seeking a Disaster Recovery Crisis Counselor! The Disaster Recovery Crisis Counselor position is a federally funded, time-limited position that will provide assistance with surveying the immediate and long-term needs, of individuals who have been affected by Hurricane Helene and its aftermath. Duties will include data collection, coordination of needed services, and assistance with maneuvering through federal application processes. (Can be part time or full time position)

 

Starting Hourly Rate: $25.00

 

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in providing disaster behavioral health and/or crisis services to survivors and victims of major traumatic and catastrophic events is preferred.
