Disciplinary Review Liaison JobID: 13426 + Position Type: Short Term Contract-Non-teaching/ STC-NT + Date Posted: 9/18/2024 + Location: ELSC + Date Available: TBD    Disciplinary Review Liaison Job Description A Disciplinary Review Liaison is an employee who is responsible for conducting disciplinary proceedings and providing guidance around appropriate actions to be taken in cases involving violations of rules, regulations, and policies. The DRL serves as an impartial and unbiased decision-maker in such proceedings, and is typically responsible for ensuring that the rights of all parties involved are protected throughout the process. The role of the DRL is critical in maintaining the integrity and fairness of disciplinary proceedings, and their decisions can have a significant impact on the lives of those involved. Responsibilities: + Conduct disciplinary reviews + Review all relevant documentation and evidence before the District Review. + Provide a fair and unbiased review for all parties involved. + Make recommendations based on the evidence presented by both the student and the school representative. + Provide written reports to the Chief of Schools + Manage all administrative duties related to the disciplinary review process. + Ensure all parties involved are aware of their rights and responsibilities throughout the process. + Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and company policies related to disciplinary reviews. + Act as a liaison between families and school officials + Obtain Restorative Practices for Educators Training Certification + Obtain ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Training Certification Requirements: + Experience in Human Resources, Law, Social Work, Education or related field preferred + Experience working with children & families + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to remain impartial and objective during disciplinary hearings + Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to evaluate evidence and make decisions + Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive and confidential information + Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques and experience in resolving disputes COMPENSATION: $20/hour.HR contact:Melissa McLeanCONTACT INFORMATION:Linda ReysackChief of Schools - Area 3
