Job Title: Bioanalytical Scientist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bioanalytical Scientist to join our Discovery Bioanalytical Team. This lab-based role involves analyzing samples from internal or external in vivo studies. The analysis may involve method qualification or sample analysis, with responsibilities ranging from sample analysis to reporting data with a fast turnaround time.

ResponsibilitiesIndependently set up and operate LC-MS and automation instrumentation, including problem identification and resolution.Perform routine and non-routine maintenance as necessary.Design and execute all phases of assigned projects, including sample preparation (extractions, enrichments/affinity capture, digestions), method development and qualification for LCMS, troubleshooting, data analysis, and reporting.Serve as lead chemist on projects, overseeing a small group of technical staff with minimal supervision.Help design experiments, provide work instructions, and offer technical training to junior scientific staff.Be responsible for client communication related to study conduct.Participate in writing, revision, and review of SOPs and methods for compliance with regulatory guidelines.Ensure compliance with study protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.Set up and change instrument configurations for various LCMS methods.Prepare data summaries for scientists to aid in client updates.Act as a technical expert for all aspects of process design and problem solving.Must have all of the following to be qualified:Experience using Sciex Mass Spec.Experience with Shimadzu LC.Experience with Analyst Software ((Analyst Software by SCIEX is a comprehensive tool designed for mass spectrometry data analysis)Experience analyzing plasmid samples for pre-clinical species.Nice to have: Experience with Watson Software (Watson LIMS Software: Developed by Thermo Fisher Scientific) or any experience with high volume work is a plus.B.S. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related life science degree with 3-4+ years of industry experience running the above.Masters degree with 2+ years of experience running the above.Ph.D. with 2+ years of experience running the above.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00
