Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented summer intern to join our Discovery Pharmaceutics team at Johnson Johnson Innovative Medicine, La Jolla, CA. Under the mentorship of a Senior Scientist, the intern will perform comprehensive literature searches to identify formulation vehicles suitable for various parenteral routes of administration in preclinical species. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in preclinical research and drug product development.
Responsibilities
Potential responsibilities include:

· Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field (Data Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology or related field) with a strong interest in drug formulation and delivery.
· Must be enrolled in university during the internship period.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
· Excellent literature search skills and familiarity with scientific databases (e.g. PubMed, Scopus, etc.).
· Ability to handle and analyze large datasets, particularly in the context of pharmaceutical research is preferred.
· Proficient in data analysis and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint).
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
