Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 100 firm, is looking to add a Discovery Services Billing Coordinator to its growing E-Discovery Solutions group in the Downtown Columbia, SC office.

A Day in the Life

The Discovery Services Coordinator is responsible for performing a wide variety of billing activities including but not limited to preparing and researching client bills relating to time and disbursements. Typical responsibilities includes: timely process client billing memos, establish dependable relationships with attorneys and staff, be able to move processes along and navigate through conflicts or assistance from internal and external contacts, distribute billing memos during billing cycle, create, update, and resolve billing issues in a timely manner, create and edit reports using Excel.

 

This candidate may also be responsible for special projects and providing support to members of the management team. This role requires constant contact with a diverse group of timekeepers, supervisors, co-workers, and other staff members is common in the role over the phone, e-mail and in person. An advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel is required.

To be successful in this role, the Discovery Services Coordinator should have excellent written and oral communication skills. The Encompass team works in a strong collaborative environment. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while exhibiting excellent attention to details is essential. Project management and time management skills with the ability to solve problems and a willingness to find a way forward is a must.
