Position Summary

The Disease Area Lead as a business and people leader, leverages the expertise across the network to ensure integrated disease area outcomes are achieved through prioritisation of business outcomes, optimising resource allocation and seizing opportunities to deliver on evolving DA needs and enable triple win outcomes. 

Whilst being hired into a country affiliate, this role will be a member of the PI & APAC network, working in cross border collaborations, to realise and scale country outcomes by contributing to virtual, cross border, cross functional work package teams.

Your key responsibilities

Ensure our innovative pipelines’ launches leading to ultimate triple-wins. 

Providing inspirational leadership in setting the vision and strategic ambition for the squad and assuming overall accountability for the execution of this vision/ambition by applying Outcome based planning principles (including budget oversight).

Creating an environment where diverse technical disciplines can align, develop and execute in order to pursue the affiliate/squad North Star ambition. 

Uses agile methodologies in the squad and constantly seeks for continuous improvement through team retrospectives.

Ensures Customer (internal and external) voice is included in their solutions through reliable & partnership and co-creation and establishes a consistent and best-in-class customer journey experience through omni- channels.

Provide VACC(Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach) leadership and coaching of squad members and more broadly as required, to ensure individuals and teams are fit-for-purpose and growing in line with their passion and the needs of the Organisation.

In collaboration with other Disease Leads, championing synergies in overall prioritization of all squad priorities, in line with organizational resourcing capacity, enabling reuse and reducing duplication in delivering seamless end-to-end patient solutions partnering with relevant stakeholders. 

Align squad vision and ambition with regional and global outcomes, leverage the networked ways of working to identify synergies across countries and maximize impact. 

End to end accountable for their respective squads, including outcome based plan and constant and timely identifying and prioritising in resources allocations (e.g.people/capabilities/experience/money and time) required to achieve the outcomes.

Work collaboratively, contributing and sharing expertise across the organization to remove silos and duplication, ensure efficient use of similar skill-sets, and to ultimately support common pursuit of the organizational LTO (Long-term Outcomes).

Ensure the team complies with all SOPs, Code of Conduct and all relevant regulations including medical governance and principles.  

Disease Area Lead is not allowed to communicate directly with patients, caregivers or PAG and shall refer all such communications to the relevant HSP.

Who you are

Qualifications

University degree (scientific, economic, or business degree). An advanced degree in Life science and/or MBA is a plus.

Proven experience and knowledge in the relevant field/product/scientific/customer segment strategy & execution.

Experience of leading a cross functional team, with or without formal authority, to deliver on outcomes. 

Strength in agile way of working and methodologies

High degree of business acumen, analytical skills and project management capability

Strong knowledge and experience in digital/Omni-Channel strategy & execution

Experience in delivering strong and creative solutions to the healthcare ecosystem

Ability to help and give feedback, but is also not afraid to receive feedback

Work location is in South Korea for a local hire
