Job Description: Dishwasher Location: 119-Southern Utah Veterans Home - Ivins, St. George, UT, 84738

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is clean, safe, and sanitary at all times.

Responsibilities: Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars Sweep and mop kitchen floors Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role preferred Ability to operate industrial dishwashing equipment Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
