This is a full-time 6-month internship (dates are June 14, 2025, through January 3, 2025).
What You Will Do
The Art Studio Team are a collection of outstanding Visual Storytellers that are responsible for the development of magical scenic designs/concept art and renderings/scenic treatments/logos/graphics that help to tell the stories of our live show offerings including parades, stage shows and special events on and off the Disney property, and on-board the Disney Cruise Line.
We are looking for an individual with a positive personality, an innovative mind-set and a fervor for Disney quality and Magical creativity. We are seeking a motivated individual who will ensure that the Disney standards are reflected consistently in all design & technical materials.
Demonstrating knowledge of basic design, including but not limited to hand illustration as well as digital painting, computer graphics, and theatre/themed entertainment/production designAssisting with design researchCollaborating as part of a team on at least one project from blue sky to completionWorking on multiple projects simultaneouslyParticipating in appropriate Disney Live Entertainment seminars and meetingsRequired Qualifications & Skills
Proficient knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop is a mustComputer proficiency within a Windows environment such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointCreativity and out of the box thinkingKnowledge of the Live Entertainment & Theme Park industryGaining trust through motivation and communicationBalancing conflicting priorities with the ability to meet demanding targeted datesRequired Materials
Portfolio (must submit a pdf file of your best 10 pieces of artwork, best pieces first, as well as a URL link on resume)Preferred Qualifications
Experience with 3D modeling/sculpting software Z-Brush/Maya/ Blender/Revit/Rhino/ SketchUp/AutoCAD/VectorworksEducation
Currently enrolled as a junior or senior student, pursuing a degree in graphic design, concept art, fine art, illustration, scenic design, art direction, themed entertainment design, architecture, or related field Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
