Disney Live Entertainment Technical Development Intern, Summer/Fall 2025

Our diverse team – representing a wide variety of fields and talents from technical directors, writers, and lighting designers to choreographers, cosmetologists, and music producers – brings magical worlds to life through technical expertise, performance excellence, incomparable ingenuity, unparalleled spectacle…and a dash of pixie dust! **The approximate dates of this internship are June 9, 2025, through December 19,2025 located in Glendale, CA.** + **What You Will Do** + Work on projects that impact our international and domestic offerings + Assist with technical research and documentation development + Support Digital Asset Management system, including ingest, organization, and distribution of active and archived digital files + Track and review incoming and outgoing communication and deliverables + Partner with cross-functional teams including creative, production, designers, consultants, and vendors **Preferred Qualifications:** + Interest in new technology, game design, virtual production, or software development + Fabrication skills, technical production or design experience + Experience working with Unreal Engine or Unity + Experience working with digital illustration tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, Maya, Rhino and 3ds Max + Familiarity with entertainment programming software (such as MA 3D, Navigator, Hippotizer, Qsys) + Passion for technology – whether that’s video game design, 3d printing, building robots, or something else + Thorough, organized and detail-oriented + Work collaboratively and independently + Strong oral/written communication skills + Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities + Experience creating and delivering compelling presentations, distilling technical details into simple written and visual communication + Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint or Keynote + Demonstrated proficiency in modeling software, including CADD (Revit and/or AutoCAD) + Experience in an entertainment or theatrical technical environment **Preferred Education:** + Senior and graduate student earning or completing **MFA in a technical design-related field** **Required Materials:** + **Sample of Technical documentation saved as PDF (upload additional documents, files, or links in the same designated field as the resume/CV)** **Eligibility Requirements & Program Information** + Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. + Be at least 18 years of age + Possess unrestricted work authorization + Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program + Be compliant with The Disney Look (http://disneycasting.net/downloads/wdpr/Disney\_Look\_Book.pdf) appearance guidelines + Fully available Sunday through Saturday, for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week + Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work + Possess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicle + Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship + Able to provide own housing for the duration of internship program in Florida + We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida Based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities, for more information click here The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $26.50 per hour.
