Job Description
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for executing customer vehicle relocation services orders and all supporting business operations. Key activities include customer order management and execution, communication through email and telephone with staff, Independent Contractors (ICs), and pickup and delivery contacts, as well as maintaining accurate data in each order tracked in the CRM system.
ResponsibilitiesManage execution of customer orders by coordinating and scheduling pickup and delivery of customer vehicles while ensuring customer instructions are precisely followed.Ensure orders are efficiently executed through linking of multiple orders.Oversee accurate and timely completion of additional services including vehicle detailing, titling/registration, and vehicle placement into storage.Communicate timely by email, telephone, and CRM with staff, ICs, and pickup and delivery contacts, escalating issues to management as appropriate.Update CRM activities and notes promptly and maintain accurate data after each telephone call and email communication, including uploading photos and scanned documents.Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and adherence to applicable DOT regulations and Federal, State, and Local laws.In the manager's absence or through the manager's direction, calculate and offer flat fees on orders by emailing the bid sheet to all ICs.Manage the storage facility (where applicable) by overseeing the daily movement of vehicles in and out of the storage facility to customers, detail shops, and repair shops using VIN and order verifications.Check vehicles in and out, review and note damage and issues, take inventory of any items left in vehicles, and move vehicles in and out of the lot.
Essential SkillsHigh School DiplomaCRM experience, customer support, dispatch, inbound and outbound call handling.At least 6 months of customer service experience; inventory experience is a plus!Strong Microsoft Office Excel, data entry, and CRM experience.Typing test score of at least 37 WPM.Strong communication skills (written and verbal), data entry, spreadsheets, call center experience, logistics, scheduling, and coordinating.
Work Environment
The position is located in Joliet, IL, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The work environment is fast-paced and requires effective communication and coordination with team members and independent contractors.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
