This position ensures the safe operation of all line haul trucking activities, compliance with regulatory requirements and the efficient discharge, organization, storage and movement of cargo. *GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES*: * Monitor drivers to ensure that delivery of fuel is handled effectively and efficiently. * Create fuel orders via dispatch system and audit once complete to ensure that the BOL is attached to the order. * Monitor customer inventories and create fuel orders based on inventory needs. * Respond timely to both Crowley’s internal and external customers. * Create end of day reporting. * Develop, mentor and manage a team. * Collaborate with People and Culture to manage the employee lifecycle, including hiring, development, coaching, and performance management. * Report to appropriate stakeholders any complications with drivers, deliveries, or other operational areas. * Collaborate with other regions and functions to achieve overall business unit goals. * Complete administrative duties assigned such as yearly training and daily reports. * Assist in department events such as Driver Appreciation Week, Truck Driving Rodeo, and others. *EDUCATION*: Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education. *EXPERIENCE*: * Minimum of two years of dispatching or applicable truck driving experience with knowledge of DOT/HazMat regulations is required. * Two years of supervisory experience required. *TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY*: * Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Outlook, and Word. * Ability to become proficient in various terminal systems, such as Oracle and Work Order (VMS/CMS/ELD/MOTIVE). *COMPETENCIES*: * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external business partners. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop alternatives. * Ability to function effectively as part of a team. * Ability to identify and document trends and evaluate their impact on the organization. * Adaptability to changing work demands. * Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. * Attention to detail and accuracy in a detail-oriented environment. * Ability to gather, interpret, report, and edit information. * Ability to manage employee and client relationships to achieve sales and service goals. * Knowledge of federal and state DOT, safety, health, and environmental regulations. * Knowledge of training methodology and the ability to develop and provide technical/operational training. * Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. *OTHER/HOURS*: * Shifts – Sun through Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday * Class A-CDL, Tanker/Hazmat/Doubles/Triples endorsements preferred. * Knowledge of fuel products and Alaskan/Yukon Territory geography preferred. *JOB SCOPE:* * Position impacts multiple business units/segments. * WORKING CONDITIONS: * Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. * May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. * Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. * May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time. * May require travel to observe operations dispatching for (less than 25% of the job). **Job:** **Operations* **Organization:** **Highway Terminals US 9100* **Title:** *Dispatch Supervisor, Trucking - Fairbanks* **Location:** *AK-FAIRBANKS* **Requisition ID:** *USA0003DS*
